Quick delivery
The carry case is very nice with a front pocket for music sheets ect. The case is very secure and nice to look at. Thereâs little manual handling to prepare to play the violin, first installing bridge , tuning and roughing the strings with rosin.

Absolutely dreadful!
First of all this product is not a violin. It is a viola! I seen comments saying the "violin" doesn't tune proper, it's because you're not tuning a violin. Viola is lower than the violin. Viola is also harder to play than the violin. Also the Bridge does not come already in place, a begginer most certainly not know how or where to place the Bridge, so this may not be the best for then. The C (not G) string came snapped. The boy is so cheaply made, and instead of a leather pad, it is plastic with ridges as grip. The bow is also very cheaply made. The rosin came already scraped up as if someone had used it before. There is wood chips everywhere. The back of of neck wasn't even painted like the rest. For some background, I use to play violin for years and then I stopped for personal reasons and I thought now I could get back into it and tbh I don't come from money, so I ordered this praying and I had okay expectations, I knew it wouldn't be the greatest but this is honestly appualing.

Everything was okay but only
Everything was great the sound, value and the materials were relatable with the price. The reason I have returned it was there was a problem with the tuning pegs more specifically one of the pegs was not stable which prevented me from right tuning

Don't forget to buy a book!
It's a lovely gift for my niece, well made and it looks professional, only downside one of the strings were broken so I'll have to get one somehow, but really pleased.

Not great
Strings snapped within days. Had to pay ÂŁ30 to have it professionally restrung. Not worth it, however daughter loves it (once I had the strings fixed!)

Fine beginner's fiddle
Arrived surprisingly quickly (Hermes tracking went from 'due for collection' straight to 'delivered through letterbox' !!). Packaged securely in a (slightly dented) cardboard box and lightweight case.Violin is a bit rough around the edges - literally: running my thumb along the seams where the sides meet the front/back encountered sections which could have been finished better, but it's a very minor quibble, and for ÂŁ35, irrelevant. Finish is otherwise pretty good.Tuning - the strings stretch like bug - erm, mad, so it took a while to become stable(ish - strings still stretching). Being an experienced guitar & mandolin player, I knew the strings would stretch, but was a bit surprised at how much...Bow - doesn't shoot arrows, but when dragged over the strings it makes a noise, so fit for purpose.Rosin - works as it should to make the bow hair stickyish. (Remember, it needs to be roughened before use with a key or knife tip, and will break if you press too hard!)Sound - sounds like a violin (as opposed to a tuba or xylophone). I'm no violin expert, but it sure sounds OK to me.All in all, a perfectly good instrument for a beginner (IMHO, anyway).
