Does what it says
The frosted film arrived in good time. It was easy to apply, following the instructions. I particularly like the handy sticker on the opening that facilitated easy opening without having to find the peel and it can be used multiple times. I’m really pleased with the privacy it provides.

It does what I needed, reflects the heat, visibility/privacy not an issue
Rabbitgoo 60 x 200 cm “One Way” window film. It does what I needed. It was OK to put up, if one is careful, otherwise it might be a nightmare. The privacy only works for those inside if the peeper outside has brighter light than in the room and then they only see a reflection, this is usual during the day, but the reverse at night! So draw the blinds at night. It reduces radiant heat input very significantly. This is why I bought it, and it works much better than the so-called e-coating on the glass (I paid for it, but is there any? Is this a common double-glazing con?) However, it is not as good as a proper dichroic film. I needed to reduce the insolation through our glass doors, and while I bought these rolls a year ago I only applied them last week. It has made a big difference! Before film, inside floor temperature in the sun measured at 36°C, compared with the shaded part at 24°C. Later, when it had all cooled down again, I installed the film. Next day at the same time the bright part of the floor was 28°C and the shaded part 25°C. The step outside was 45°C. I've also added it to some south facing bedroom windows. My pic shows a very thin line of unfiltered daylight down the trimmed edge of the film, in focus but the garden view is of course out of focus. How it might be done if you are as OCD as me. 1. Clean the glass and the surrounds very carefully, removing all contaminants, especially traces of Windowlene or Flash, etc. 2. Check the scalpel/craft knife is very sharp. 3. Fill a clean spray bottle with water and a drop of Fairy liquid to work as a wetting agent. Use this solution and a clean old soft J-cloth for a final clean of the surface. 4. Move the Clear Film sticky tab to the side at the top, this will make peeling it off later much easier. 5. Stick some generous tabs of Sellotape on the film across the top, one each corner and one (or two) in the middle depending on how wide. This is so the film can be given a first position hanging in place from the frame by the sellotape; now it is easy to adjust and trim as necessary to make sure it covers all the glass with a small margin of about a centimetre at the sides, and maybe a bit more top and bottom. 6. Spray the glass generously, so it’s running with water. 7. Carefully begin peeling down the clear film from the sticky back of the silver film, keeping it all away from the glass. An assistant can help here, because now is also a good time to spray the back of the silver film, but it is possible for one person with a narrower glass. 8. About halfway through peeling, check the centre of the silver film is hanging true, and now is a good time to begin helping it to stick, but only with a light brush down the wetted centre, simply to control it. 9. Remove the rest of the clear film, paying attention to the centre and hanging true, and covering all the glass. 10. If it is in the correct position, only now begin to gently work the water out to the edges, radially from the centre, initially using another soft cloth. Use a squeegee only when the film is secure and wrinkle free, and always work towards the edges from the centre. 11. Once the film is stable, sellotape removed, most of the water excluded, and the edges are well worked into the corners and glazing seal, then trim it with the craft knife. Try and do it with a single firm pass along each edge (without damaging the rubber seal), ideally use a ruler to keep the film flat and guide the knife tip. Pay careful attention to the corners which are guaranteed to try and mess things up. 12. Finish off with the soft cloth, paying attention to the edges and seals. 13. Do not overwork the film; this can introduce wrinkles because it is more likely to stretch after a good soak. 14. Allow it to dry overnight, maybe a couple of days even, before succumbing to the temptation to tidy it up a bit more.

Works well
Bought this to use on the bedroom window as this room takes all the heat from lunchtime onwards and we immediately noticed a difference, it makes the room feel much more comfortable. My partner is a handyman so he took the sealed units out of the frames and applied the film flat and didn't appear to have any issues. The windows look great from the outside and there is a good degree of privacy unless the bedroom light is on.

Works great, stops some of the sun getting into the room and heat drenching.
Decent film- Silver It does make the room quite dark, it’s like sunglasses for your room. But that’s why you’re putting it up, right? I wanted to reduce the sun coming into my kids 2 west facing rooms. It’s worked. Was easy to install with a £4 kit and took me about an hour to do 6 panes of glass. I’m yet to see what it’s like in the winter for darkness, if it’s too much, I’d take it off and put it up once a year in the summer. Which to me, for £30 and an hours work is reasonable.

Think twice if you want to fit this to double glazed windows.
So, this product does what it says. It's relatively easy to install, although quite hard to get bubble free etc, even with a squeegee and damp cloths. So, 3 stars for that - its ok. However, the main issue is that this is basically not suitable for double glazed windows - even if your double glazing is toughened glass. The product blocks a lot of the heat coming in which is what we wanted - but the result is the inside of the double glazed window with the film on gets VERY hot. If you have ordinary, non-toughened double glazing, the heat differential can, apparently, cause the window to crack. Even if your glass is toughened, the heat build up can potentially cause blown seals. I have had a hunt around and couldn't find anything about this on the product page. The only vague thing I could find was: "Wide Application: This privacy film is suitable for any flat, clean, and smooth glass surface, including homes, offices, stores, and classrooms. Note: If your glass is of a special type or is installed in a way that makes it prone to issues, please ensure compatibility before making your selection" Should I have done more homework before purchasing - yes. But I would guess most people getting this product would be intending to use it on double glazing which is certainly not a glass that is a "special type". We have toughened Pilkington K glass I was applying the film too and I removed the film a day after I applied it as its just not worth the risk/cost of potentially having to replace blown double glazing units.

Stay cooler
Absolutely worth a go. It’s a very cost effective way to add privacy and for me to reduce the temperature in a room. I’ve popped it on the windows of my south facing home office - it reduces the ambient temperature by a good 5-10 degrees without cutting out too much light. Fairly easy to apply - definitely spray to window with copious amounts of water and use a squeegee to flatten. Personally, I find it doesn’t have the clarity of glass (I’m using the silver version) as it slightly crinkles when applying but I’m not worried about the view just staying cool. Do measure up first as the popular 44cm is quite narrow and you might have apply in strips.

Very effective for the price
We fitted this to 3 bathroom windows and got the hang of fitting it by the second. Tricky but not too difficult. Another reviewer gives a useful step by step guide. On the plus side - it blocks out loads of bright sunlight and cuts a lot of the heat. But it does make the room look a bit grey/blue dismal. And you can see your reflection inside when the light is on, against the blackness outside. Somehow we managed to stick the wrong side of the first one to the window. So it peled off in one corner. Sounds stupid (and is) but maybe you'll see how if you buy it. Perhaps the manufacturer could have something printed on the plastic you treat off and throw away. Anyway, we turned it over (quite easy) and now they all adhere perfectly.

Effective but a nuisance to get right.
1 star for installation, the film folds and peels and is desperate to stick to anything, removing the backing film is a chore. Definitely advise 2 people to do it more just to prevent the film constantly folding on itself all the time. 5 star for the effectiveness, genuinely feels like it blocks out sunlight and reduces heat. My home office has direct sunlight and often requires me to sit with blinds closed all day but with this film it means I can keep the window blinds open, the light is less blinding and anecdotally, feels considerably less hot and intense on summer days. With portable aircons sold out everywhere this is a very cheap alternative that can help.

Heat blocker
Super easy to install came with all the tools that I needed. It really does work well you can see outside. Nobody can see it except for at night time if your lights are on then they can see in your trailer. It does keep the heat down very well.

Not 100% privacy on inside or out
Not 100% privacy inside or out. It is very hard to see from the outside in with the mirror but if you come up close enough to the glass you can see inside a small amount during the day. It does seem to block a lot of heat out so if you're looking for that this is definitely going to be good for that. I have apartments across from me so I'm trying to get a little bit of privacy from my sliding doors. If you look at the one picture you can see that it's clear to see my daughter's Toy Box in front of the window from outside with the film on. And you can also see that my light on the ceiling is on.

Don't do it
This film isn't mirror enough. You can see right through it.

Absolut top!
