Came to use my battery operated garden equipment after lying idle over the winter period and they wouldn't start or if they did the results were patchy. The equipment was stored in a dry environment but would have been subjected to rises and falls of temperature. didn't expect the electrical internals to the kit to have issues so didn't use the spray straight away. However, I eventually indiscriminately flooded the electrics with the spray using the very handy directional straw, left it for a couple of minutes then manually jigged the cutting blades / chain before reapplying power (DON'T forget to do this with the battery removed / unplugged) and they sparked into life. Can only think that a very small amount of moisture had created a corrosive barrier on contacts (not that I know !) but irregardless the product worked and thus a much more economical solution than alternative choices.

It works very well as is non conductive and a great degreaser, it works well as a fast drying "lubricant" to quickly position materials/items that need to be degreased and clean for their final seating positions. I use it all the time at work for cleaning circuit boards, flushing out hose pipes for flue gas analyser cells gas manifolds, cleaning flux from usb ports, and for automotive use it's fantastic at cleaning out electrical connectors. It isn't as strong as a defattening agent as pure isopropyl alcohol but as a pressurised aerosol the pressure helps displace some large deposits and like pure isopropyl alcohol it evaporates quickly in open air. Good stuff but rather expensive

thiis thing has saved me more times than i can count quick squirt brush whatever im working on with a brush and it dries a couple seconds later

Does the job - had some aging guitar pedals which even though kept in a closed pedalboard case had become scratchy/noisy not just on pressing the pedals but with quite some residual noise once activated; once I had opened the pedals and given the contacts a spray all the noise had gone, just a little pop of the pedal being pressed as the residual. The spray (slightly sticky) is noted to be non-conductive which is important I guess, as it does spray beyond the target area somewhat even with a fine nozzle.

I bought this to resolve an issue with a crackly volume pot on a DAC. The pot was sealed and the only way to get the spray inside the pot was via the input shaft. No problem, this contact cleaner penetrated and did its work with a couple of applications. No more crackly pot, and it's much smoother too. Really couldn't have asked for any more from this product.
