Possibly the best out there
This is a wonderful book. All the arrangements have been specifically done for this version (or so it seems) and have been arranged really thoughtfully for guitar - easy to play but authentic to the original songs. It's also really clear to read. Well done!

Large print makes it impractical
It’s a good selection of songs but my niggle is how larger print it is, it feel oversized and every song goes over a double page: and therefore it isn’t at all practical.

Clear and overall good selection of songs
Good book with suggested finger patterns where required. Good cross section of songs. An explanation of Coda and how to use would be very helpful.

I have recommended this book to several people already.
Very nice book. Good combination of songs, old and new and well laid out. Melody line (in full notation) and chord boxes with lyrics underneath. Some of the 'strum pattern' rhythms had me a bit perplexed, but that's just the way they try to explain it. If you read rhythms though or have the flexibility to make up your own, based on the original, you'll be fine.

Really nice and clear songbook for acoustic songs
I bought two books from this series the Acoustic songs and the Rock songs. The book itself is a good size with a very nice silky / satin cover. The print is very easy to read and very clear. At the beginning of each song the main song theme / guitar riff is shown for guitar in tablature. The songs are melody only with the full chord box shown above the melody and lyrics (not just the chord letter). NOTE: It might be a bit obvious but as the name says, these music books are for guitar so there is no 'piano left hand / bass clef' music score, ONLY melody, chords and lyrics. Which is fine for a guitarist, which is who the book is for. What I did like is the fact many of these 'many song' songbooks have a few good songs and the rest are less common and some unknown, however I have found with both of these songbooks that they contain a majority of really good well know songs. Only to me, the mix of the riff at the beginning being in tablature and the rest of the song being in music score seemed a bit weird. If you can read the music for the melody in music score then why do you need the tablature to show the riff, and visa versa if you need the tablature to play the riff then you probably won't be able to read the music. But, hey I can't complain as both are there., so I guess it keeps everyone happy. Anyway, the books stays open fine without breaking it's spine and with the nice material used for the cover, I guess it will take a lot of bashing and knocking on music stands. Very happy with the purchase, also the seller was super quick. Highly recommended music song book for guitarists.
