no, they just show up ,the bits you have missed when cleaning your teeth,

How do you use these?

Basically chew up in your mouth with natural juices (spit) swill around for required time and spit out. Don’t scream when you look in the mirror (you will)you can just rinse away with water in your mouth to tone the colour down. Maybe not a good idea to go straight into a date without checking first though I feel. It will all disappear with two or three swills out.

Is this suitable for kids? If so, from what age?

To be honest I wouldn't recommend it as I didn't find it to be any use. The tablets are like blackcurrant sweets and leave your mouth, teeth and tongue a sort of purple grey colour but doesn't show up the plaque. Some years ago you used to be able to get plaque tablets in Boots which were effective, but they are no longer available, I think. So sorry, I wouldn't advise buying this product as it didn't do what it said it would on the packet.
