Office Chair Mat for Hard Floors - 45''×53'',Heavy Duty Clear Wood/Tile Floor Protector PVC Transparent

I’m taking a few minutes to write a review based on reaction from some of the other reviews I saw posted when I was shopping for a chair mat. I wanted to help out people that may be stressing out from some saying “looks nice but slides all over”. It doesn’t, read below to help you decide. I have been working from my home office for the last few months. So I needed a mat to put down on my hardwood floors to protect them from wear from my office chair. I wanted a clear mat so it doesn’t detract from the hard wood flooring. I also wanted one with a “lip” to go under the desk for my feet as well as a surface area for the chair. I found this 47”x36” one in the SHAREWIN Chair Mats for hard wood floors. Price was great at $26.99 and perfect footprint for looks and performance in a home office. So what’s the problem? Well, I kept seeing mixed reviews...some satisfied but some saying it slips and moves around too much. Oh no..who wants a chair mat that slips and moves around. Argh! Well, I decided to take a chance. I mean, at that price, it’s not a huge deal if it doesn’t work out. So, I place the order, I get the mat and now it’s time to put it to the test. First I unroll the mat and lay it down to straighten out and “uncurl”. They are shipped rolled up and wrapped, so they have to settle and lay down (time varies but usually by morning at room temperature they are flat). I put books on the corners of mine to help it flatten out. As I was doing that I did notice it seemed to slide around a bit. But, I gave it overnight to settle. The next day I pick up the books and it’s nice and flat. Now it’s on to the “slipping” test. I place it in front of my desk and *important* put the SLICK clear side down and the slightly textured/frosted side up. I put my chair on the mat. I rolled my chair around, pushed on the mat with my feet...and nothing, it stayed in place and worked perfectly fine...all day. Success! My search was over and I paid less than I had planned. Another great product found on Amazon. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and still no problems. If you pick up the sides and pull up it will lose contact with the floor and slide wherever you move it. Then simply place it back down flat on the floor and it stays in place. Don’t worry about people saying it slides all over. If it’s sliding on them then maybe it’s a polish or coating or something on their floor (or they have the wrong side down). This mat itself has no problems, it grips the floor and works well. So hopefully that helps out anyone on the fence like I was about it. Great price, great product, no worries.

I have no problems with this product. The plastic is easy to install and straight forward. The out of the box smell is ok no problems. The size is perfect in my PC area. Overall, good product

I got this item to protect a newly laid floor - my wife had me do the entire downstairs on a whim, and I'm not trying to re-do anything because I damage it :) . Anyways, this oversized floor protector matches the picture in the product description - I have about a foot of rolling room in any direction from the center of the mat. I've moved the mat a couple of times over the last month to inspect the floor below, and it looks like the mat is absorbing all of the wear. Pros: Plenty of room to scoot around my desk area, protects the new floor below, after two months of use the mat still looks new (no traffic wear marks, still transparent). Cons: The mat shifts a little with motion - maybe rotating 6" each day of rolling around on it. I need to re-set its position each day. This is not much of an issue since it is large enough that I don't ever roll off the mat onto the floor, but I would prefer it to not move as the slow rotation may still wear on the floor.

The floor mat works great. I saw some reviews saying it curls up but I have not have this happen. It ships rolled up and did take a few days to fully flatten out, but that was it. It’s fairly thin, which I see as a plus as it is not so completely obvious under my chair and the sword floors still show through nicely.

I dunno. It seems pretty cheap. My chair wheel keeps flipping the mat up as well. Will probably look for a better one. I would pass.

This floor chair mat was exactly what I needed to protect my floors from scratches and wear from my desk chair. It laid out easily right after opening and didn’t take much effort to position where I wanted it. The material feels durable without being too stiff, and my chair rolls smoothly across it. I also like how it helps keep the floor looking clean and undamaged, especially in a high-use area. Simple, effective, and definitely worth buying if you want an easy way to protect your floors.

I should have trusted the negative reviews and known that a desk chair mat costing so much less than comparable options probably wasn't going to be worth it. These mats were terrible because they constantly bunched up and wrinkled every time the chair rolled over them. The adhesive tabs worked well enough to keep the mat in place on our porcelain tile, but the portion that extended onto the carpet would never stay flat. It continuously bunched up and shifted, eventually developing a permanent hump. It became incredibly frustrating to constantly smooth it out, only to have it bunch up again almost immediately. In the end, it just wasn't worth it. Spend a little more on a heavy-duty chair mat that will actually stay flat.

Nice product. Not super easy to unroll alone. I like the thickness of it. Seems very durable so far.

I'm writing this the day after receiving the mat. I was impatient to put it on my floor and it was a cold day, so I put it on top of a radiator to warm up and soften to make unrolling easier. I had read several reviews and was bit worried about how well this would perform. Being impatient I took it off the radiator before it was fully warmed up (I could feel it was still cold at the middle of the roll). As expected it unrolled easily where warmed up and less easily where still cold. All that said, after laying it smooth side down, it is performing perfectly. The mat itself is stable on the floor surface (varnished wood boards) and provides a great surface for the wheeled office chair on top. I feel like I am rolling around on cream. I weighted the curling back edge (the previously colder inside of the roll) with books overnight and now there is just a slight hump - as there is at the front edge too. I am pretty confident that these will eventually relax and the whole thing will be flat. I had wondered if the size would be OK and it is – I can roll my chair back to stand up and it does not come off the back edge. I recommend the mat with the front lip that goes under the desk as this is needed for the front wheels of your chair when you are working close to the desk. My chair is making no indents on the plastic because it is directly on top of a wood floor with nothing in between. Highly recommended – and a good buy at the price

I actually put it on a carpeted area and it is not moving around for me. It is a good quality product, I am 200Lbs+ and the wheels of my chair are not leaving any tracks so far. I have read in other reviews that some people had issues unrolling it. I did not have any. I made sure to enroll it so that the curve at the edge faces the floor and not the ceiling. Then I lied on it for about 10 minutes and it was almost completely flat. (If you have a yoga mat and do some activity, it is a good idea to put the yoga mat on top for that 10 minute period.) Then I put it in the intended area and it was completely flat the next day. Now I have some industrial carpet, it works for me, I cannot guarantee it works on any kind of carpet.

I received the product after some wait time. But, I really appreciate the clear finish to the product. It does not have too much frosting on the surface which makes it appear to have a near transparent finish. I use it at my work desk with an office chair, perfect for my home office setup. Easy to clean and maintain. However its good if you don't move too much on the office chair, as the size is bit small. As I stand up and roll my chair back one of the back wheel slides of the mat onto the floor. Not a huge deal, since the thickness of the mat is just about right and hence, its easy to get it back onto the mat without much effort.
