I use it for chart plotting and I wanted something with a robust/quality feel but without spending too much, this was the sweet spot. It has a reassuring weight to it and the grip feels higher quality than a lot of plastic pencils. It writes very nicely with the 2B leads I use. Whilst it’s not that important I like the design of it too!

**Q: I would like to get some rotring drafting pencils for myself. But I am not sure where to start 300, 500, 600, 800, 800+, or rapid pro.**
A: I'd personally recommend the 500 as it's essentially a cheaper version of the 600, the body is made from mostly plastic but I've had mine for a few years and it's never let me down, it's also cheaper so it's not as heartbreaking if you lose it haha.I will add that you wouldn't be making a mistake if you bought any of 500, 600, 800, or 800+ as they're all great tools, it's really just what you're willing to spend:)

**Q: What sort of razor is used in this pen?.. is it similar to razors on Faber-Castell Grip 1345?!**

**Q: Page title says "Pack of 12"; description says "pack of 10".  Either way - really?!? - for this price?!**
A: When I bought mine it seems to have been a different seller, since I only got 1. I really wouldnt think you could get 12 or even 10 at the price.

I searched for a while to find this mechanical pencil. I use it for chart plotting and I wanted something with a robust/quality feel but without spending too much, this was the sweet spot. It has a reassuring weight to it and the grip feels higher quality than a lot of plastic pencils. It writes very nicely with the 2B leads I use.
