Good at what it says it does! softening stools. Easy to use as following instructions. Side effects listed on instructions but felt none myself. Worked well straight away, easy to swallow reasonable size.

I admit, poor diet was definatly the cause of my pain, but no great story ever started with a salad.Unlike most laxatives which when taken give you about 7.5 seconds warning followed by 3 hours of throne bound relief, somewhat resembling the draining of an old radiator, these worked a treat.I had King Kong finger stuck up there for days! These were a great help in softening it and allowed me to go to the toilet without having to grip the sink with one hand and squeeze what felt like a bratwurst, through the eye of a needle.If you can't go, its a nicer alternative to Dr sharpnails sticking is big sausage fingers up there for a wriggle round.

These tablets are easy to swallow and don't leave any after taste.You have to take a lot of tablets to see any effect though and that makes them not good value for money, although they worked eventually.There are many more laxatives that are more effective and cheaper.

Please don’t get discouraged by the negative reviews because this product actually works if you take it correctly. It absorbs water from the body into the bowels so unless you increase your water intake it will obviously cause dehydration and the side effects associated with it. If you take regularly for a few days and drink plenty of water - it definitely works. It helped reverse my opioid induced constipation which was at some point borderline bowel obstruction (sorry: TMI). Dulcoease, along with Califig, definitely did the trick. Stimulant laxatives such as senna actually caused more problems than resolving the issue in my case. Stool softeners and/or bulk forming laxatives (fibrogel etc) are by far the best, especially for people who are on long term treatment with opioid painkillers such as codeine.
