Mink Oil for Leather Boots and Shoes — Dubbin, Leather Softener and Waterproofing Treatment — 100 ml / 3.38 fl oz

I've been using 'Wonder Balsam' on my Docs for a while now but never been totally happy with it. Although it's quite easy to apply and easy enough to 'buff off', I never feel that it soaks in enough. After watching a few videos on You Tube, I discovered 'Mink Oil' - thanks Rose Anvil!Lately I've been using 'Liquid' Mink Oil on my black Docs only as it does tend to darken lighter colours and the effects have been amazing. It really does soak in and it really does help to soften the leather and it makes the 'break in' period so much easier.Now back to this product - you get 100ml versus Wonder Balsam's 85ml - and it's cheaper!Heat your boots/shoes 'gently' and then apply with a small piece of cloth and give it a decent coating - and make sure you get it into all those little creases and corners. Heat gently again to help this product soak in and leave overnight. Next day just wipe off the excess and you'll find that it leaves a better shine than the other aforementioned product.All in all, I've been totally converted to Mink Oil and my Docs look all the better for it. I can certainly highly recommend this product.

Good quality with reasonable cost.

Mink Oil Cleaned these boots very well and made them look brand new, week ago I had been on a farm and with all the rain we've had last week's in UK these boots were crapped up in mud,had been left on to dry for days.Very easy to apply spreads easily over the boots, these are Helly Hansen V3 Garabaldi hiking boots,it's a soft leather and it will darken the leather slightly.Picture had been taken after I applied the mink oil and left over night.Only wished I'd had taken a before picture of boots, but I was impressed after applying the mink oil, I didn't think at time I'd be writing a review,so no before picture.We'll worth it for a few pounds 💷

Amazing stuff for keeping your leather in good condition. I use it 2-3 times a year on my 2001 Doc Martens, ankle length leather jacket and a leather blazer style jacket.Completely stops any sort of cracking or squeak from your leather products, and a little goes a long way on a lint free cloth for buffing.It's also a decent sized pot, have had for about 4 years and I've only used half of it at most. The smell is a bit strong, kind of like petrol but nothing that can't be solved by opening a window.Absolutely essential for anyone who buys quality and wants their items to put last them.

A friend told me about this product for keeping your motorcycle boots water tight and supple. It is as good as he said in keeping your boots in good order. It is not the cheapest but money well spent.

Lovely oil. Has a bit of organic smell but to be expected and doesn’t linger on leather for long. Gives great shine and managed to soften a very old leather handbag. Would recommend!

This stuff is amazing keeps your boots waterproof and suple if you're spending big money on your boots look after them with this stuff it's amazing

This product does a good job for re protecting hiking bootsIt does the leather good and I use it every second or third boot clean ( I treat and clean boots after every session)It’s a bit unpleasant smelling as you apply ( ok once on boots)and it does appear to be made of mink oil so if you are a vegan or worried about boots not smelling of roses I would say look elsewhereAs a waterproofed & nourishing dubbing it’s spot on

Perfetto per ingrassare stivali e scarponi, io lo uso anche per le Timberland, quelle tradizionali.Mantiene la pelle morbida ed impermeabile a lungo.Per questo tipo di calzature è molto meglio del lucido tradizionale.
