The seller was great to deal with as the first item ordered never arrived, and they were happy to send over a replacement no questions asked - great service.The product itself works well. I have a Large Phone, larger than an iPhone and this handled it well. I have taken it on several camping trips and used it to hold the phone to take pictures of a group, I've used it on the train for those long journeys up north for work - it holds my phone at whatever angle I like so I can watch films or just to hold my phone out of the way and listen to music. Ive used it on flights as well - this was great as I could actually get on of the arms to stick in behind the lap tray, thus holding the spider grip at eye level - fantastic to watch films on those budget airlines that dont have TV's built in.I have used this alot - I even lent it to my mate to use on his bike so it would hold his phone when out riding - although after a few bumpy trails, it did loosen and fall off - good thing the phone was in a protective case!The ONLY issue I have had with this is that now - after 6 months use, 4 of the arms died - it would seem if you bend them too much (although I thought it was designed to be bent alot@@!!@@) then this can weaken the joint between the metal leg and the metal center piece thus allowing the leg to just snap - the only thing keeping it in place is the rubber coating surrounding the metal.The item is now unusable!!!It was disappointing really, as I would have expected a product, designed to be bent around things and hold things in place, to not come under 'bend fatigue' as I call it to which it then broke.If this was 2 years down the road - then ok, id accept that slightly more, but it didn't even make the year! And yes, some may say, well you used it alot - really tho?? Is going on 3 camping trips, 2 flights and 4 train journeys a lot?? thats only 9 times ive used the spider grip! Albeit, when my friends saw it they were happy to pick it up and bend it around their own phone, so lets say we factor this in at a multiple of 3, thats only 27 times used in 6 months and its broken!!!I am now thinking the price tag is too high as well for such an item - maybe £5 should be more a reasonable ask price.In conclusion, it was fun whilst it lasted - now I need to find something else, stronger and better to use / test!I would still recommend this product say for a desk stand - something in which it stays in a static shape. Fold the arms into position (I'm sure there is something informative on YouTube for different positions, either in-car or for use on flat surfaces etc), insert 2 or 4 of the arms into the air vent of the car (Citroen DS3) and put the iPhone in. It's now at a safe height and distance for you to make hands free calls, use GPS for directions or with the in car adapter, play your music through the car speaker system.
