Special use tool but excellent when you need it
Typical Wera quality (high) but I'd like it more if the switch controls were metal. That said it's very solid and smooth gears. This is expensive for what it is and I don't think I'll use it often BUT I was recently up on a ladder replacing something on the side of my house fighting with a stubborn screw. It was a bit precarious holding on to the ladder and trying to push hard on the screwdriver - the t handle ratchet would have made things a lot easier so I've added it to the kit for the next stubborn screw (didn't want to use impact driver as it was a screw in a window frame - did not want it to slip that close to glass).

A Good Addition to the Tool Bag
Getting old, and sometimes using a screwdriver puts too much strain on my wrists, one of which has some arthritis in it. I started using Wiha t-handles for screwdriver stuff and that made a big difference with the additional leverage. But there's time when a ratchet would be better so I decided to try this one from Wera. I have a number of Wera tools and have been quite happy with them; this is no different. The ratcheting motion is smooth and the semi-soft grip fits my hand nicely (I'm a medium glove size hand). The head accepts any 1/4-inch bit whether they are drill type or short stubby ones and locks them securely in place. The bits are then magnetized to hold screws. The bit quick-release operates smoothly and also accepts extensions.Only complaint is that the direction tab can be tough to move due to its small size and somewhat recessed fit on the top of the handle. I haven't had any issues with the tab moving during use, though.Overall an excellent addition to my tool bag.

Excellent
Depending on the application, the wrist is held more straight using this compared to a screwdriver. It reminds me of the difference between using a flat computer mouse vs. one that is vertical. More ergonomic and great torque. The case includes a velcro strap that allows for easy insertion and removal of the handle. I use tools regularly to work on my skateboards, mountain bike, assembly projects, and miscellaneous repairs at home. I really enjoy using this tool. It's a fantastic addition to the tool chest. Others have commented that the reversing lever switches position while in use. This is not my experience. Most of the time, my hand is not touching the lever at all. Another critique offered is the lack of a neutral position for the lever. I agree. A neutral position would be a welcome addition to make this tool even better.
