The only trouble being which place to visit as, with every new page, there is another unmissable location.Oh, and did I mention, a plethora of enticing pictures!

If you love Florida away from the tourist areas and want to see it at it's best this book is a great starting point. Fantastic photos it is a pleasure to either read through or flick from page to page appreciating the superb photos.

I love the "Florida's Fabulous" series & recently ordered & read the 'Natural Places' edition. The author, Tim Ohr, has, with few, but well-chosen words brought to me the beauties, marvels, and natural glories of Florida. He also pointed out on-going and future problems we face in this great state. Photographer Pete Carmichael did an incredible job, from the tiny frog on a bit of duckweed; to glorious panoramic views. I especially appreciated Mr. Ohr's specific directions on how to reach these places by roads; and the listing in the back of the book, of all the contact addresses. Having lived in Florida and travelled these roads since the late 40's, I have been able to see many of these marvels before agriculture and development erased or changed them. I highly recommend "Florida's Fabulous Natural Places" to ANYONE who calls this land home, or curious as to why so many of us love this state!

After using this guide a number of times from the public library I finally just ordered a used copy. It was like brand new. A great way to find special places to explore and visit.highly recommended to see the the real Florida!

This is a 'fabulous' book and a must for anyone who wants to explore the 'real' Florida. All the tourists seem to love the beaches and Orlando but to me, a Floridian, I love the natural beauty that Florida has to offer throughout the state - especially in the state parks which are meticulously nurtured and cared for. This book has outstanding photos and descriptions of most if not all the state and county parks as well as many interesting facts. Love this book!!
