can these coils be used indoors with a french window wide open?

Not sure if you are supposed to but I certainly did on holiday. I placed the coil by the open door and actually we had them out on the patio while we were all sitting around on it too! They seems to work for sure.

Do you have to light it with a match for it to work . How quickly does it burn and can the same coil be used again

Hi Joni G, A match, lighter candle anything with a flame will do. each coil lasts about 12 hours, however I think each box comes with a least two to three double coils,(24 hours) please check description to be sure. Yes you can re-lite if you extinguish coil early, a pair of scissors is best thing to use, to cut of burnt coil.

can you buy more coils to fit the tin

The coils are standard mosquito coil size, so normal mosquito coils would fit. Refills of citronella coils are not available.
