Also, an observation rather than criticism - the reel seat is relatively small and some reels (the foot) may not fit. I spin, lure and drop shot for Pike, best catch 5lbs and Perch 1lbs. If you are fishing from a boat it will be ok to catch the fish, but you will need a net to land as the rod will bend. Awesome rod, I prefer the 6ft one. Very strong and durable I use these rods for everything. My pb carp is only 10lbs but it was caught on this beauty and I know for sure it could handle more than that tiny 10lbs carp. The short 6ft is awesome for pike fishing on the canals with a decent reel and some 15-20lbs braid in case of snags.
