Great quality for the price.
Having spent a few days using this microphone for VoIP applications (Skype and Teamspeak) and narration, I am very pleased with it. The microphone is very well built, with the clip and the microphone being made out of a very solid feeling metal. On the other hand, the cable feels slightly cheap, however it still feels like it should last, so I won't mark the product down for this, especially for the price paid. The cable is long enough for me to stand up and move a reasonable distance away from my computer if I need to, which means it should be perfect for those using this for video making. The microphone clips tightly onto every item of clothing I have so far tried it with, remaining in the same place even after I pulled on the cable. However, the clip has teeth on it as opposed to the rubber pads I have seen on other lavalier microphones, so this may damage some delicate items of clothing; for most people this shouldn't be a problem though. The quality of the audio that comes from the microphone is fantastic for the price paid; it reproduces the bass in my relatively low voice with ease while capturing the highs. Background noise is basically a non-issue, with people commenting that my keyboard and mouse are no longer audible compared to my old microphone. Plosives are captured well without "popping", and intricate sounds such as "t"s are captured well. There is a small amount of hiss and the overall volume is a little on the quiet side, however both of these issues can probably be resolved with a decent sound card and preamp. The only negative thing I have to say about this microphone is the packaging is seemingly welded together; a box would have been better than the plastic packaging provided here, which took me a minute or two to get open. The microphone arrived in one piece though, so the packaging did its job. All in all, I am quite impressed with this microphone. It is doing what I ask of it admirably, and I can see it lasting some time. Kudos to Speedlink for this one.

Surprisingly good little mic for the price
I wasn’t expecting much from this clip-on microphone, but it’s actually excellent value. The metal casing feels sturdy compared to cheaper plastic models, and the detachable clip makes it flexible to use whether on a shirt collar, laptop, or even handheld in a pinch. Sound quality is crisp and clear – voices come through naturally without sounding muffled, and the built-in noise suppression does a decent job of cutting down background hum. It’s not studio-grade, but for online calls, streaming, or casual recording it’s more than good enough. The 3.5mm jack is reliable and works straight away with laptops and recorders without any faffing around. Cable length is practical too, giving enough room to move without being tangled up. Overall, this is a solid, reliable little lapel mic that punches above its price. Great for anyone who wants clear, consistent audio without spending a fortune.

A fantastic microphone especially for DSLR videos!
I purchased this microphone to connect directly into my Canon 550D so I could add some voice notes to the home videos I record, and I am actually very surprised. The sound quality I now get since plugging this in is superb! Your voice ends up sounding like you've recorded yourself in a professional recording studio. There is no popping noises when you speak, and what surprised me is to test it, I attached it to my shirt and left the TV on quite a loud volume, and you could hear my voice loud and clear, but could hardly even make out the TV! So I think this microphone would be very good outside with a lot of background noise such as other people talking etc. It is a nice small compact size with a fairly long cable so you can be quite far away from the camera. It is very portable and the clip is strong (not the cheap plastic I originally expected it to be!) The small size also means that it won't be a nuisance when attached. It comes in a blister pack, and whilst I hate this type of packaging all I had to do was just use scissors to cut the top off and then just pull the 2 sides apart which actually came apart very easily. For the price, an absolute bargain! You won't be disappointed.

Doesn't work with Mac's that don't have mic inputs (most) or my Canon camcorder
I purchased this to work with my canon camcorder, but it gets no audio inputs. Also I tried it on my iMac (Mid-2011) and got nothing either. I spoke with the manufacturer's tech support team and they said it would work with a mac that had a mic input, but most don't! The box says it does but the manual says it only works with a PC. On my canon legria mini X, I can choose if the input is line in or mic, neither give any input from the device. It's a shame, from what I've heard for devices this works with, it's a great little device, but it's cutting itself out a huge chunk of the market place by not working universally. I've sent it back for a refund.

Great mic, useless as a clip-on
This mic gives excellent sound reproduction with a low noise floor. If it came with a stand, it would be useful for use with a PC. As a lavalier mic it's hopeless. When I eventually got it out of the packaging, it was in two pieces: 1) the metal clip, and 2) the mic and plastic mount. I suspect that the plastic mount should be permanently attached to the metal clip. The plastic mount has a small screw going through it that is obviously supposed to screw into the metal clip. Using a tiny phillips-head screwdriver, I tried to screw the mount into the metal clip but the screw kept turning - a stripped thread, perhaps, on a new item? Extremely shoddy. It is completely useless as a lavalier mic unless I try to attach the mic to my shirt or jacket by clipping the wire onto the collar. In any case, the spring in the clip is so weak that it wouldn't even stay attached. One inadvertent tug on the clip and I'd probably lose it. If I had a soldering iron, steady hands, and didn't have arthritis, I'd attempt to solder the mic onto the clip as a permanent solution. The packaging is one of those stiff sealed-plastic cases that require strong hands and a large pair of scissors to remove. The kind that, once it's open, you realise that you're probably not going to be able to return the goods for refund as the packaging is damaged. Still, at the low(?) price of £6.32, it probably isn't worth the bother. I'm writing off the £6.32 as a bad mistake and a learning experience. It seems pointless to hope that you might get one of the good ones. There probably are no good ones. SUMMARY: If you're looking for a good lavalier microphone, this isn't it. Look elsewhere.

Out of interest, and because of its amazingly low ...
Out of interest, and because of its amazingly low price, I was able to try out this clip-on mic., to verify a./ that it actually would work with my equipment and b./ that the results would make it worthwhile. USING SPEEDLINK WITH HEARING AID Let me explain. I wished to use it in conjunction with my Bluetooth hearing aids. The latter have a small control unit which hangs around the neck in the manner of a Lavaliere microphone: plugging in the Speedlink Clip-on allows me to fix the latter to my outer garment where the pick-up of sound is not masked by my clothing. It works perfectly in this context. When receiving calls (which go directly i to my wi-fi hearing aids) my replies to callers are perfectly clear. And, given its price, it is quite remarkable. The dedicated mic., for this hearing aid sells at between £40 to £45 in the UK, depending where you purchase it. In the USA I have seen them offered at US$ 25....the Speedlink costs £8.50 - need I say more?

Better than a £19 one
We got this for use in a new meeting room and we were in a rush to get a mic, so I ordered from Amazon with next day delivery and someone else went a bought one for £19, the £19 one worked, OK, not great, picked up either too much background noise, or none at all, and we needed it to be able to pick up the speakers voice as well as the questions that came from the audience, OK the room only seats 30 so a small-ish room, but this mic did far better that the more expensive one, it had less features built in, but the quality of the audio was far better, it picked up the audiences questions, but not them rustling biscuits or slurping their teas. This seems to quite a sturdy piece of kit too, and for the price I do not think you can do any better, the clip is sturdy and holds the mic in position well and does not let it pop out at the slightest accidental tug on the cable. We liked it so much we have ordered a few more for the older rooms.

Great for the Price and Purpose
Background: I'm a amateur Journalist/ Documentarian / Videographer and have my own YouTube Channel where i travel to many Dance events up and down the country as well as various countries in Europe and do interviews with people either one a 1-2-1 level or in a group. Having done a few interviews, i was really miffed the amount of background noise (Loud Music etc) i was getting, so i decided to minimise this by investing in some Audio equipment. Setup: Tascam DR-07 MkII Belkin Rockstar Multi-Headphone Splitter (5 way splitter) 2 Speedlink Spec Mics Build Quality. The Mic and the clip is made from metal, but the attachment that holds the mic to the clip is plastic, which hooks on and is held in place by a tiny screw (Slightly larger than the ones on reading Glasses) There are a few people that have complained about the clip and how it falls apart. This is true, but remember you're only paying £6. To fix this problem, the tiny screw can be tightened, which should resolve the problem. I would expect that upon transport and various vibrations, the screw has come lose and therefore causing the clip to fall apart. For the really paranoid, i uncrewed the plastic from the clip, applied the tiniest amount of superglue to the plastic side(literally no more than a tip of a toothpick) and re-screwed. Build Quality, Secure, Minor tweak maybe required. Audio quality is great, and clear. I initially bought 2, coupled with the Belkin splitter, so see how 2 mics would sound like going into my Audio Recorder. Still impressed and have ordered 3 more. If your only using one, you should be fine, but i would advise the more mic inputs you have the more background noise is amplified Summary; If your complaining, then go somewhere else and spend a little more money. Personally, for only spending £6 for a Lapel mic with a long cable and delivers great (not perfect, but great) Audio, i'm very happy with my purchase and great for any budding, Journalist/Hobbiest/ Videographer. 4/5 stars because i will admit that it maybe inconvenient for some people that don't have a tiny screwdriver or superglue.

Gran sonido a precio reducido

I use this mic with a Sony ICD-PX333 digital audio recorder. It picks up clear non-distorted sound at great distance. It must have some noise suppression built in, because background noise is at a low (to non-existent) level - not certain I like that feature, because I'm trying to record every nuance of sound. Bottom line: a nice quality microphone for a super low price.

Also quasi ein Pop-Schutz in sehr klein.
