This is one device that James Bond does not show off enough, this device is good for spying on people plain and simple, its Hyper Sensitive Microphone and its small size plus its large storage space means that it can be hidden easily in any room and will clearly pick up what is being said. I was being bullied in a company once and the long and short of it was I needed evidence to prove I was being bullied (in this case it was institutional racism), I went into the disciplinary and put this underneath my chair and left it on while the HR & Disciplinary Managers were reviewing my case temporialy in my absence. When I got back and I played it back (very easy simply plug and play into any laptop) it clearly revealed how the employer was removing facts from my grievance to strengthen their case to give me a disciplinary for malicious intent, to ultimately cover their tracks. You could quite easily use this device to also record in meetings publically or simply check if your spouse is cheating on you if need be. It can be placed anywhere and I would highly recommend it 😃👍

I have purchased two allreli recorders. They come well packaged, with an instruction leaflet and are easy to use. On receipt of the recorder, plug it into a USB port on a laptop for an hour or so and it will be fully charged. Ensure the recorder is switched to OFF before charging. A red light will come on to show the recorder is charging and the light will turn blue when fully charged. Recording couldn't be easier, simply switch the button to ON. The red light will flash for a couple of seconds then it goes off. The quality of recording is pretty good but it will pick up background noise too. To listen to your recordings, make sure the recorder is switched to OFF and then you simply plug it into the USB port in your laptop. I use windows 7 and listen to the recordings on windows media player. The recorder looks exactly like a normal memory stick and is very unobtrusive, so whether you want to record lectures, meetings, doctor's appointments or require it for covert purposes, this recorder fits the bill.

Quality of recordings is good. Even when In a pocket it records clearly (as long as you keep movement to a minimum to reduce inevitable noise from 'fabric'. ) On off switch is a tad too flat and the embossed on/off markings are not easily read - bit of a nuisance rather than a problem. Main reason for losing a star- not clear to know how much power remains in the battery. Also, not clear how much memory remains when in use. Finally, whilst you can transfer recordings to an iMac, the advertised problems with date stamping are an additional nuisance. However, for the price, it's worth 4*.

This was bought to replace an old, similar style recorder that got lost, and then a replacement one that was unfit for purpose. With this one I've found exactly what I need: simple to operate and discrete to use. As a lay-preacher I record my own sermons so that I can self-check them afterwards. (I can discover my short-comings in private!) This is small enough to sit on a church lectern or pulpit top without being visible to all. The quality of recorded sound is clear and loud enough. My first attempt to replace my lost recorder came from a different manufacturer and left me with frequent skips in the recording and sudden loud intrusive noises. This one seems perfect. I recommend it.

Its expensive but sound quality, size,ease of use is excellent. The microphone is very good. Battery life of the quoted 13 hours I must disagree as mine records for approximately 7hrs but can randomly stop recording.

Felt rather risky to buy this based on some reviews here, but maybe I got one of the good ones. The sound quality is really clear and could record everything in a medium sized room when the recorder was in my jeans pocket. Took a while to light up at first when plugged into my laptop, and I thought maybe it wasn't working. But I could later see it had lit up (maybe it doesn't come charged). Henceforth it worked without any delay. I will post an update if the good functioning does not continue for any reason.

This was very good until it stopped working. Bought 30 April 2024 and packed in 1st June. Cannot get a refund and the item is no longer available.

Very reliable product working as intended. As advertised - the recorder is small and distinguish itself as an USB drive so no one would be any wiser if you decided to record the conversation (be mindful of the lights when switching it on though). I have used it few times at work and was happy with result - clear voice recording, plenty battery life - what else to expect...good recording product which can also act...no surprise here - as USB!
