How durable is the black version? I'm guessing its a powder coated finish?

It’s very durable, it is a Matt black and very hard wearing. I wear mine 24/7 and never take it off, despite heavy work I do, playing with the kids and lots of other things, it’s held up really well. I only have a light scratch to it, which was my fault from a bit of rubble falling out from my arms. These are of brilliant quality and I’ve got a few of these now!

Can you shower with it on?

it is rope and stainless steel so I don't see why not. However, when wet and suddenly needed, it may not undo quite as easily as when dry??? Just a thought.

So in an emergency how would you loosen the paracord ???

In an emergency, firstly release the pin , then slide the paracord around either side of the horseshoe shaped bracket arm , and off it comes .

hi all. i’m new to paracord bracelets. i see this mentions 550+ in rating. could you kindly confirm does that mean 550llbs weight bearing. thank you.

That’s what actual 550 paracord is rated to. Whether or not this is actual paracord I’m not sure. Even if it’s not you should be good for at least 400lbs. Even the cheap knock off stuff is pretty strong.
