does this fit a normal tea light or does it have to be a yankee candle?

You can use either, the candle holder came with a normal tea light already in it, but I swapped it for a Yankee candle. Hope this helps.

Will a votive Yankee candle sampler fit In the glass??

I don't personally have one but do have one a similar size and it doesn't fit to the bottom but does of sorts, I really wouldn't worry as comes with tea light glass holder, they are gorgeous, good quality and ally friends/family will be receiving them as gifts I've bought two and will buy more as thy are as much an ornament as a tea light holder
