Works Well for my Second Television in my Conservatory. Small & Compact, Easy Set-Up
I purchased this August DTA280 Portable Antenna for Indoor and Outdoor Use, for use with my television that I have set up in my conservatory, and unbeknown to me I don’t have a main aerial on my roof (never noticed when I bought my house). My main television is set-up via my Sky in my lounge, but not being able to afford the extra cost per month for ‘Another Room’ on Sky I opted to watch Freeview via an external aerial. I have it plugged in upstairs and the aerial cable runs outside and down to my conservatory. I have been able to pick up all of the standard television channels and some which I have never heard of before. It is very small in size, but the two silver telescopic antennae allow you to move and position them to whatever position is best to pick up a signal. It took me roughly 45 minutes to get it in the right position on my upstairs windowsill to be able to catch the signal. A great addition and effective areal for a second television if you don’t have a main aerial.I’d recommend it based on how easy it was to set-up and use, then being able to tune my television in and find all the standard channels. The only niggle I have is it does crackle a bit when it rains, but I just watch television in my lounge then. For an extra set-up it is perfect.

Small Packages!
I wasn't expecting much at the price I paid and that I couldn't find any reference to the range it covers anywhere even on its makers website, but because of the reviews on here and the price, I thought I would give it a go.I am so glad I did! At first it didn't pick up anything, but after a few positions I found as long as it (the base) was touching the outside wall of the house even minimally (which happens to be the same wall which our sky dish is on so is in the correct direction) it picked up perfectly all the freeview channels available on the tv. In fact it picks up better than our normal aerial even though I had the outside one replaced when digital came in and that's the main reason we got sky.I should mention the purchase was for a small tv in the kitchen but I can't see that it would make any difference if the tv was larger. I can't recommend this item enough, the only thing I don't like is the fact it feels cheap but I haven't purchased others so I really can't compare and they may all be like this, and as long as it works its not on display so it doesn't really matter. Happy now I can actually use my tv!!!

It's okay.
This is just an average aerial. It gets the job done eventually. Need to fiddle abit in order to receive all available channels but even then you might find some are still missing. Plugs straight into TV without needing to plug it into a socket which is a good thing. It looks rather cheap but guess that's what you get for the price. Overall it's okay and would recommend it to someone on a tight budget otherwise i'd say you should get something that costs abit more.

Works sometimes but static picture.
This aerial may work in homes without reinforced concrete all way round, but I tried this and the picture was often static. May be because of my area and type of walls. Tried another model and that one worked. Not too pleased.

Very 70s looking
It works but if I am critical then the metal antennas are about 3 ft extended so not quite in obtrusive

Absolutely rubbish
This thing is worse than the cheap £1 signalex antenna you can get from pound land, which is just two wires with aerials on it in a plastic box. This doesn't even pick up any channels, when not plugged in to the same booster. This picked up 15 channels on my TV when boosted. and not even that great of a reception eitherThe cheap pound land one with two resistors picked up 82 channels when boosted. I have no idea why this product which is better made is worse than the cheap Chinese one from pound land (which also picked up HD channels!). Other than that, it's pretty sturdy with huge antennas, though not that it made any difference. If you are needing an antenna, Don't go for this one. Though, It may work better if you live nearer to the mast.

Make sure you are in a strong signal area
It doesn't work for me, but it's the third aerial I've tried, so I suspect it has more to do with the area I am in than the quality of the product. It seems reasonably well built and doesn't cost a lot, so if you're in a strong signal area, give it a try.

Excellent DAB radio reception
I had just about given up thinking I’d ever hear DAB from my Pioneer home system, the supplied areal wa rubbish and the store was was zero help. But now it works! Small and neat this actually works
