If you haven't got a filter in the kettle box then someone is definitely taking them out **Q: Should I take out the filter when I boil water?** A: No, there's no need to take out the filter for boiling water. Did you press the button on the lid? It has 4 digital bars on it, and once they all disappear, that's the only time you need take it out, and then replace it. **Q: which brita cartridges** A: Brita, and/or universal water filter cartridges. Some supermarkets sell they're own make which are excellent. **Q: Have used twice and its full of condensation. Not clear as when first bought. Is this correct?** A: Mine does the same. I don't think it's a problem though. I've had a closer look and am thinking it's just the restriction of the design to let moisture out while boiling, which is a good thing. If you tilt the kettle just to see, the condensation just disappear as it's swept back into the water.
