How much Khus root should I use in a bottle of water?

You don't need a large quantity. Start with a small bundle or a few strands and adjust according to your preferred aroma and flavour. More roots will produce a stronger infusion.

Can I use Khus roots to make Khus Sharbat?

Yes. Khus roots are traditionally used to infuse water and prepare Khus-based summer beverages. After making the infusion, you can use it as the base for a sharbat according to your preferred recipe.

Why does my Khus root have little powder or broken pieces?

Some small fragments can naturally break off during drying, handling and transportation. You can rinse the roots before use and remove loose particles while preparing them.

Can I reuse the same Khus roots?

We don’t recommend reusing infused roots, as most benefits are released. Reuse them in soil as natural compost for plants.

Do I need to wash Khus roots before using them?

Yes. Since these are dried roots, rinse them well under clean running water before their first use to remove loose dust or natural particles. We also recommend checking the roots for mud before use because it comes from under the ground
