MAPLIN Replacement Wind Speed Sensor White For Use With Weather Station N96FY

I had my Weathereye WEA22 weather station for a fair few years now. Sadly, moving house, the wind speed sensor broke two of the three vains, so I set about trying to locate a new one. It seems these aren't so easy to get for the WEA22 Weathereye product, but at £2.49, it was worth risking trying this as a replacement.It works perfectly, so if you have an 868mHz WEA22 Weathereye with a broken wind speed sensor, I can recommend trying this sensor, it is likely to work.I am now going to order the wind direction sensor, as when fitting the speed sensor, I noticed the direction sensor has seized.

Lots of info on how to connect this up. What I didn't realize is that it only has a small cable. This is because it is made to fit into the accompanying wind direction sensor which has a connector built in for this sensor and a long cable. The RJ45 cable from this sensor uses two wires and that wind direction sensor uses the remaining two wires.

worked well as it should since it was direct replacement for the original which was broken by collision with a rugby ball but if your seven getting it over anything was still a conversion!!Delivery took longer than expected from Maplin.
