It is not rigid, but you can add some rigidity with cardboard on the inside if you want it. Works very well with the Thule tow hitch luggage rack - place the bag on the rack, put items inside starting with the biggest/heaviest, zip it up and then strap the whole thing to the rack. It won’t have a nice body shape unless you’ve completely filled it, but the construction is very sturdy so if you’ve strapped it down tightly it’ll hold everything inside in place. I didn’t have any leaks but if you’re expecting to be driving in heavy rain for a sustained period consider putting non-waterproof items into plastic bags as given long enough water will find a way to get in through any zipper.

**Q: What's the real size? 150 cms = 59 inches. But 20 cms is only 8 inches. That can't be right**
A: True, it is much biggen. I dont have the real sizes because i sended it back. It was way to big for me. I think it was more like 150 cm by 60 or 80 cm.

**Q: Could this be strapped to a VW Transporter tailgate bike rack?**
A: We use it on the VW tailgate bike rack we have, just be careful where you place the chocks and remove the clip that secures the bottom of the rack to the bar on the tailgate, we also used more robust ratchet straps, works perfectly and didn’t leak when we had torrential rain

**Q: Too wide for a Thule Easybase? What do people use to attach it?**
A: The box comes with straps to attach to frame and I also use additional straps

**Q: Can this be used on a fiamma cycle rack**
A: No this is too large for a cycle rack

This product worked well for us on the VW bike rack on our California, it’s not a sturdy box, more of a robust bag. It was great fir us as it’s just used for carrying bedding, awning gear and chairs and when on a camp site the bag folds up well. It proved to be waterproof as well as we went through torrential rain, we attached it with some ratchet straps as the one that came with it looked a bit flimsy, that could be just me wanting to be extra secure? Overall it suited our needs very well
