Rankie DisplayPort (DP) to DVI Cable, 1080P Full HD, 1.8 m (Black)

I wanted a decent length cable to run DisplayPort to DVI as the DVI on an old graphics card was failing and cutting out the card. Was to mainly test that it was only the dvi as the hdmi and DisplayPort seemed ok. Ordered this as a good price and right length. Been in and working perfectly for almost a week now while the dvi would fail within hours. So it has done the job I was hoping it would perfectly. The item while obviously just a cable seemed well made so I would have no issues with buying again if another need arose. Always difficult recommending cables as they normally just do what they do. But this isn’t a cheap flimsy build like some I’ve seen although the price is good. So for a working quality cable at a good price, i would recommend to anybody else needing a DisplayPort to dvi cable.

This DisplayPort to DVI cable has been a dependable solution for connecting my devices. The signal quality is superb, and it seamlessly transmits high-definition content to my monitor. Sturdy construction and secure connections make it a valuable addition to my setup. Great product!

Cable is what you'd expect, it's a cable, it works fine. My issue however is the packaging. So for this small cable, 2 plastic end covers, 2 twistie ties, one massive anti static bag with 2 stickers on it + printing oh and a load of paper to explain that because I live in the UK I get a 12 month warranty (which all products have by law). And then amazon packaging on top of this! Might seem little a petty grip but there is no reason for the cable to be shipped with so much packaging - 1 tie and a something recyclable would have done just fine but F the environment I guess?

Does what it says on the tin, and it does it well. The construction seems good enough, nothing to write home about but it looks like it will last a good few years if it's not fiddled with a lot. Overall nice piece of product for a more than reasonable price.

Package was basic grey plastic but cable length and material quality didn't disappoint. Sturdy quality cable which was picked up first time between AOC monitor with DVI input display and rx 570 DP socket and so far screen quality didn't decrease even thought it using dvi output on other end (audio works too also on external speakers just like it does with hdmi. Had to buy this as third party hdmi switch was giving weird buzzing noise when waiting for it to switch between ps4 and pc on same monitor. Now making use of the other spare output hdmi for ps4 and using this DP > DVI-i solution to make use of my other socket on monitor by default without hdmi splitter/switch in between. Such a convenient gadget and same money instead of buying brand new monitor for one more hdmi switch as long as resolution is within 1080p limit.

This cable comes quite nicely packaged in a Rankie-branded ziplock bag - nothing fancy, but enough effort made to give the impression that they care about their products. The connectors on both ends of the cable fit snugly into their respective sockets (DP on the *video card* and DVI on the *monitor*), which in the case of the DP connector is nice to see - this cable replaces an older one on which the DP end was constantly losing connection after having been tugged around a bit by our overly-inquisitive cat... So to feel the DP plug slot snugly into the socket and latch home without much in the way of wobbliness was a good start, and seeing Windows immediately detect my second monitor again after I switched it back on was the perfect ending to the cable installation process. The cable itself is noticeable thinner and more flexible than the DVI cable it replaced, so it's questionable just how much copper is actually inside each core. However, unless the cat decides to try swinging on this one as well, then once it's connected up it isn't going to be getting moved around much more, so it's not as if it particularly needs to have an excess of mechanical strength. However, as noted above. the connectors on either end of the cable do feel well put together, and ultimately it does exactly what it's supposed to do - get the signal from the video card to the monitor - without any issue, The lighter-weight construction of the cable itself is also advantageous in two respects - 1) the reduced mass of cable hanging off the DP socket places less strain on the retention mechanism than a heaver cable would, and 2) it's much easier to route through trunking or other cable-tidy solutions.

The DIsplay Port(DP) output to Digital Visual Interface (DVI) was not as thick as I expected for Electro Magnetic Shielding (EMS). Having said that I was looking for something that was cheap and cheerful able extend the length of the current cable I had to replace and cable will be attached to a docking station. Most of all it works and I am able to move the monitor farther away, no loss in clarity. I haven’t had it for long, only a week, so time will tell about durability.

It works fine as a normal DP - DVI cable, however the description does not specify refresh rate capabilities. I bought this thinking it would do 144hz, it does not, I'm still stuck at my lowly 60hz. So if you're looking for a cable to get those sweet, smooth 144hz, don't get this one.

Good value for money, and the product was as described. Using it for the last 2 weeks and it does the work.

Nachdem ich zweimal gebeten wurde doch dieses Produkt zu bewerten, komme ich doch sehr gerne diesem nach. Bei meiner Freundin und mir ist so ein wenig das Liebesleben eingeschlafen, wir aber große Fans von der Fifty Shades of Grey Reihe sind, wollten wir was Neues testen. Also alles klar gewesen, fesseln, knebeln und endlich mal der alten eine rein hauen können, da sage ich doch nicht nein. Da wir durch die Filmreihe aber nur theoretische Praxis hatten, aber keine praktische Erfahrung, haben wir beim Jobcenter sofort ein Antrag auf einen Bondage Kurs gestellt – frustrierender weise wurde er abgelehnt. Wir mussten nun improvisieren und uns selbst alles beibringen. Nach guter Internetrecherche, wussten wir schnell was wir brauchen. Also schnell irgendwelche Schmuddelseiten aufrufen, dort die Produkte anschauen und mit entsetzten feststellen wie teuer doch der ganze Mist ist. Da wir aus unerklärlichen Gründen mehrere Sanktionstrafen vom Jobcenter bekommen haben, da wir nie zu den früh morgendlichen 10 Uhr Terminen gekommen sind, war also das Geld zu knapp für das richtige Equipment. Meine Freundin schwer traurig, mit Tränen in den Augen musste ich also meinen Mann stehen! Ich ging zu den unendlich weiten Hallen von OBI. Dort suchte ich vergebens einen Mitarbeiter, zwei Stunden suchte ich nach einem. Vergebens. Also ging ich zu meinem Baumarkt des Vertrauens. Dort fand ich schnell einen Mitarbeiter und wollte mich Fachkundig beraten lassen. Ihm erklärte ich kurz und knapp was ich brauchte: Seile um eine Frau zu fesseln, damit diese regungslose vor mir liegt und sich nicht wehren kann. Die Beratung bekam ich leider nicht, dafür war kurzer Hand andere zwei nette Herren da, die mich auf ihrer Arbeitsstelle mitgenommen haben. Sie wollten mir aber zum Thema Bondage auch nichts verraten, trotz dass diese Handschellen hatten und schon erfahrender in diesem Bereich sind. Ganze drei Tage haben sie mich weggesperrt und mich immer wieder gefragt was für ein „Krankes Schwein“ ich denn wäre. Als ich dann endlich gehen konnte, war mir daher schnell klar, es muss eine günstige Alternative her. Fachkundige Beratung bekomme ich ja auch nicht. Also ging ich auf Amazon um dieses Kabel zu bestellen. Es sieht sehr vielversprechend aus und dies ist es auch! Ich kann problemlos die Hände meiner Freundin fesseln, durch die herausragende Länge von 1.8 m bekommt man sogar noch die Füße mit rein. Reißfest ist das Kabel auch. Ohne Probleme konnte ich Sie an die Decke hängen, ihr müsst euch vorstellen sie wiegt 160kg, hing sie regungslos da. Winselte wie ein kleines Mädchen. Da mir das so auf den Sack ging, habe ich ihr das größere Ende in den Mund gestopft. Endlich war Ruhe. Ich war Sau glücklich! Nicht nur ein Fesselspielzeug, nein sondern auch ein Knebel! Ein Multifunktionspielzeug. Wir haben hier also richtig Geld gespart! Natürlich hat aber auch jedes tolle Produkt eine Schattenseite. Das größere Endstück hat zwei Schraubverschlüsse. Wir dachten dies sei eine Brustwarzenklemme, war in diesem Fall aber leider nicht so. Dies fanden wir sehr irritierend. Da keine Anleitung vorhanden ist, nutzen wir es erst einmal weiter als Knebel. Von mir bekommt also das Produkt 5 Sterne, endlich ist unser Liebesleben aufgefrischt. Danke!
