Starting to Make Bead Jewellery: Basic Techniques and Simple Design Ideas Paperback – 1 Feb. 2010

Brilliant little book containing the basics of how to make various bead jewelry including; earrings, necklaces and bracelets. It is only short, but it manages to pack a lot of information in. Before reading this book I had never made any jewelry before, but on my first attempt I was able to make 2 pairs of lovely earrings. Since then I have also made some bracelets and necklaces. The instructions are really easy to follow and there's lots of pictures to help illustrate what you need to do. It's a must buy for anyone interested in starting to make their own jewelry.

Its true this is a pamphlet and cannot in all honesty be called a book. All that said its absolutely packed out with informationIt gives a picture of most findings and their proper names making shopping online much easierIts full colour throughout and is very easy to understandThere are a lot of negative reviews but a long as you consider its a pamphlet not a book the reviews arent in my opinion justifiedIt costs less than a city centre coffee and is well worth having

Its pretty and cute and has info, but i'd never IMHO , class it as a book.... only a few thin pages. Dissapointed.

The media could not be loaded. I bought it for around £3 something and its pretty useful for me. Im not that of a beginner so i dont think it would suit anyone who is an absolute beginner. Lots of useful info, cute little book. I give it 4 stars cause the book i got had some damages to it.

Lots of help given, from what the different findings are, what they are used for, and how to use them to the different tools needed. Colourful, easy to follow. Rather thin (don't expect a 'book' book), and I thought I'd bought a dud at first, so don't go on first appearances. A great book for a beginner like me! Do recommend for those who really are just starting out.

I received this as part of a beginner's kit, so it was a real bonus. It has enough in it to get you started, without being too complicated. Instructions are presented in a no-nonsense way with good diagrams. I can see that people's complaints about it being described as a book are justified - especially if they've had to pay silly delivery on top !

Uncertain of content & use when I saw this but for the price & free delivery - I gave it a go as I needed all the info I could get as was just starting to make jewellery. This is amazing. I would have paid so much more for this. Yes, it's a booklet but it is packed with detail & so easily understood. I would say that this is a must buy for anyone wishing to start jewellery making.

Very happy with this book. In just 20 pages the author manages to cram an enormous amount of information. Describes types of beads, threads, wire etc. and identifies the various findings, all with illustrations. Plenty of advice for the beginner. Attractively set out, and could not be better for such a reasonable price.

Booklet small and only 10 pages. Not worth the money. Nothing like other books by this author. Came water damaged and several weeks to receive.
