Big plus, the cable disconnects from the adapter. When your tank is flush to wall, it's not possible to slip a large plug or power adapted behind the cabinet - but because the PSU and lead come apart I didn't have this problem.The light was slightly short for my liking but that is a tank design issue as the internal filter of my Lido 120 takes up a lot of space. I fitted the light to the inside of the tank at the bottom of the back and once I realised my mistake of facing the LEDS towards the back, it was actually bright.The good bit is that this is really a wonderful device to bring illumination to a tank and highlight the colours of plants, ornaments and fish in ways that a standard white tube cannot. Having come from a beginner's Pets at Home tank with separate blue and white LED lighting that could be used to create good day and night for the tank, I was disappointed by the Lido system of white on or off. A little investigation shows that Juwel's own blue and white light system is very expensive. This £15 device is much better.As it's at the bottom, mine creates an almost sci-fi illumination from below but this is great for dusk, evening lighting and the different range of colours can be used to great effect. The blue is great for night lighting, the green brings out the colours of the plants and the red makes it look like an underwater volcano. My favourite is the smooth transition which in my vary active community tank really seems to pacify the fish before lights out.The remote I assume is IR so needs line of sight, but this isn't an issue unless you intend of changing the settings often. I open the cabinet door, turn on and then off before bed. I suppose I could leave the sensor bit outside the cabinet if necessary, but it's not worth it.I can think of nothing to fault at this price, but I have a few suggestions:1. It might be useful to have a diffuser for the glass. When inside the tank, you can see the individual LEDs .2. The inclusion of some suction cups to secure the wire to the glass would be helpful.3. The ability to power more than one light from a single PSU.4. A timer unit.If I can figure out the best way to add these lights to hood, I shall be buying more. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great versatile lighting options - quality isn’t great though *by M***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 April 2019* This has been a very nice addition to my fish tank and the range of colours and effects available are great (one of them is a bit techno - I hope my fish isn’t epileptic!)I have decided to go for 4 stars though based on the actual quality of the unit. It’s very lightweight and of a lower quality than I was expecting - while it appears (and for obvious reasons should be) watertight - I decided to keep it above the water level in the tank due to the apparent quality of the unit just to be sure.I’m happy to use it like this, and my fish seemVery happy also!but from the photos and descriptions I saw at the time of buying, I did expect it to possibly be a step up so that’s why I’ve gone 4* ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Low light heaven say my fish *by M***O on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 November 2016* This is the first LED light I have used in my aquarium. I was surprised at the colour range in a product at this price, I did find the remote liked to work or not as it wished, but I preferred to use the switch anyway.
