Has the way they made this changed recently? seems a lot more greasy than it used to be.

Not that i have noticed. As long as my laced wig stays on all day, i have nothing to worry about. Visually i haven't noticed any changes + i use the their blasting freeze spray after the glue has settled for a minute or so. Another tip is to shake the tube a little so the substances evenly mix up before squeezing out or before use.

Does this give you the wet look or affect on your hair

I usually apply approx 1½" - 2" of the squeezed product to my quite short hair that is just damp and the glue drys to on my dark but greying hair to a nice silky/matt finish not a 'wet' look.It truly is an outstanding product that can last two or three days with a really firm hold. Since buying it via Amazon (the 1st time I'd come across it) I have subsequently bought several additional tubes and would recommend it to anyone!

I believe it is the same but depends on what you want it for i find that the black one holds better than this on although this one is also good.

Can you put this on then straighten it?

This gel is very sticky and thick, you would straighten your hair after application. I would advise it's good for shorter hair, for spiking it up etc, it holds really well and keeps hair in place
