Evans SoundOff Tom/Snare Mute 10 Inch

I have a young drummer in my house. His music space is directly over my work-from-home office. I am sure that you can see the dilemma. These mutes do exactly as described. His sound is loud enough for him to hear, but not loud enough to be a disturbance.

Got 13" and 14" for practicing with my LP Aspire timbales in my condo. They really work! The "tire store" aroma was strong at first, but it faded... but it's worth the break in period to get the benefit. Now I can practice without raising a ruckus!

I bought a whole set of these mutes and I'm pretty satisfied. They definitely do soften both noise and vibration significantly, although claims of 90% reduction are probably stretching it a bit. Basically they are just neoprene pads slightly thicker than a wetsuit. They do affect rebound and tone and the mutes for Hi-Hat and Ride totally kill the tone and feel (but do reduce volume significantly). They are held in place by the rim on the drum head (with no adhesive) and the fit is generally excellent, however, I found that on my smaller tome (6 & 8) the mats were more likely to come loose. I found the bass drum mute was easy to fit and as effective as the others. The keyhole shaped crash mutes are not as effective but still offer a large reduction in noise. I read a couple of reviews that mentioned a strong odor but I did not notice this. Overall these do a good job and I am happy with them

These work well for my toddler. I have tested them and they mute sound so much. You can also tell the difference between the different drums. My toddler plays the drums like a mad man. The only thing that would make this better (potentially) is if they stuck to the drum head more....but then again, that might leave residue and we don't want that. Overall, excellent product that is built well. I believe it had a slight smell but nothing that would take me or the tot out.

Well made. High quality. However, you'll need a "SO-14" for a 14" snare.

Great sound mufflers for my grandson's drum kit. He's three and loves banging on things, but the mufflers really help to eliminate a good amount of noise, while giving him just the right amount of rebound to help him develop as a future drummer. If you want quality, functional, and quite mufflers, these are it!
