They have no problem holding the hot coffee, or being emptied and then rinsed with less-hot water soon after. I am writing this review, though, because I just knocked one off the counter onto my kitchen floor. It bounced off a wooden stepstool on the way down. I just had time to think "Good thing there were two!" before it hit the floor. But it is absolutely fine! It did not break, crack, chip, or suffer any damage at all.
