can I use this to shave off the bottom of interior doors?

I found this plane to be almost unusable for any task. Out of the box, this plane will almost certainly require careful sharpening of the blade and careful fettling to make sure that it is correctly setup. There are many youtube sites detailing this but be prepared for several hours work to get it working correctly

Is the Faithfull #3 plane thick black painted or thin powder coated? Is chip breaker/cap iron flat & bevelled or curved/bent near the front?

This plane is painted black and then machined on the mating surfaces. The cap iron is the traditional curved style.

Is this plane good for chipping off wood from a cricket bat in order to lighten it ?

Well it's been a long time since I played cricket but I'm pretty sure that the bats have slightly convex, not flat surfaces, so this plane would work but not be the best tool for the job. Perhaps a spokeshave? It rather depends upon how much wood you need to remove.
