Sucks! but in a good way.
This item sucks .......... because that's what its supposed to do!One of the best purchases ever. I decided, out of frustration, to replace my old Henry.I had an old Henry some time ago, was possibly the best vac ever. This old thing went to silicon heaven with all my old electrical items only to be replaced with a newer version, also called Henry. Unfortunately this one sucked in a way you don't want. The pipe was more stiff, the wire was shorter and also stiffer. It didn't have the same suction power as my old friend did ...... oh the days, we had some good times. So after getting mad and tripping on H, I thought I would go the Dyson route. Well this rechargeable little buddy is amazing. Supposed to work for just over 20 minutes on high, but actually this isn't a problem. I have not run out of power yet though while doing the house. My flooring is mainly wood, with the odd little carpeted bit. You soon change your hovering behaviour and grab it when needed rather than do the whole house. The caddy was easy to fasten to the wall, and is all now hidden away. If I was to have one gripe with it, it would be that the caddy holds two attachments, the other stays attached to the machine but there is one more that just has been ignored. Why hasn't Dyson made this attachment fit to the caddy! Have a word guys/gals!It doesn't make much noise either. I wouldn't have a problem grabbing it at night to just have a little tidy. Its easy to empty the collection tub, just lift a leaver and pull. I have not yet taken the filter out to wash so don't know how easy that will be, but judging by the rest of it I am sure there won't be issues. So one last thing. This vac has been well thought out. Feels comfy to hold and is easy to move about. The packaging it came in was also helpful with stickers all over (that peel off easy) telling you what each bit does. Even though this is made mainly of plastic (not the long tube) it really doesn't feel cheap. I don't think it will break easy either, but don't let kids play with it as they can break anything.

Love it! You won’t be disappointed.
My thoughts before buying:- will the power be sufficient- am I over spending on a handheld- will it have all the required attachments- will the battery last long enough- is the storage chamber big enoughI love this handheld hoover. It’s a solid appliance and is built to the quality you would expect from Dyson. It’s light weight and easy to manoeuvre around tight spots. Having had it for a few weeks now I’m comfortable I made the right choice. I have a large 4 bed house and have actually found myself using this more than my upright Dyson as it’s just so easy, quick and light. The power is more than sufficient for both carpet and hard surfaces, I don’t even find myself using the “boost” mode. In standard mode I’m able to easily hoover the whole house plus two staircases on a single charge. The chamber will be full by the end but clearly is large enough to support a full house hoover. It comes with the 3 main attachments - I personally don’t think additional attachments are require outside of these 3. At the price point I think this is the best positioned model in the range from a power, storage and battery life perspective. Any less battery life would be annoying as well as storage. It is expensive but it’s totally worth it. I visited a local Curry’s before buying and it came up trumps against other models I had considered from Vax and Shark. They simply didn’t have the same quality and power. Overall I know I would have ended up disappointed if I didn’t get a Dyson. 5 stars!

Brilliant. Life changing even.
Doing the housework is no longer a big chore you leave for weeks to do. You end up doing a little every day. The house doesn't fluctuate between clean and a complete mess. The battery doesn't last forever, and it has run out on us a few times, but if you change the way to clean to a little every day, and not the whole house in one go, then you'll be just fine. Better even. I bought this as a birthday present for myself and my wife said "Really??" but i really love it. I can clean the living room floor in 60 seconds, and hoover all the mess my cat and kid make on the sofa in no time. You need to hang it somewhere useful, that it's easy to get to, and that it's easy to put back, and when you're not using it, you should have it on charge. This way you won't run out of battery. Our other plug-in dyson upright, used to end up living in whatever room we got to when hoovering and had given up on/run out of time, until we would pick up where we left off, days later. This lives in a utility room, on the wall, hidden away, but easy to grab, and use for a few minutes at a time. We haven't touched the other Dyson since we bought this one.Overall 'normal' suck is good, but has a max button for some SERIOUS suck, but it'll drain the battery in maybe 6 minutes on that mode, so only use that mode when you really need it, and can plug it back in to charge right after.Seriously though, it changes the way you clean your house, and for the better. It makes me even enjoy the hoovering sometimes (although that's sad to admit).
