Brabantia Profile Line Wok Turner - Stainless Steel and Silicone

I bought this wok turner on the strength of iantho's review, and I'm very, very pleased with it. It's long and very light but handles beautifully - it actually makes me feel like a professional! The first third of the blade (nearest the handle) is quite rigid, but the remaining two-thirds is very flexible so that it takes on the rounded contours of the wok, easily diving under all the food and turning it, without leaving anything behind as a rigid blade would do. I've found this tool to be perfect for stir-frying whilst protecting the non-stick surface of my wok.However, I find the blade a bit too pliant to handle the job of lifting heavy foods (eg noodles) from the pan. So when I'm ready to serve I switch over to  Brabantia All Nylon Skimmer/Strainer  - also available on Amazon at a fantastic price. It's is in the same black/stainless steel design and is rigid and beefy enough to do the job well.These 'Brabantia Profile Line' tools are a fair bit longer than your average kitchen tools, so you might want to measure up first to make sure they'll fit your cutlery drawer/hanging rail. The Wok Turner is 14"/36cm long and the Skimmer/Strainer is 14.5"/37cm.

I do a lot of stir-frying in my non-stick wok, and I've been looking for ages for something suitable for stirring and turning without damaging the wok. I've tried using a silicone spatula but it's not rigid enough when the wok is full, and normal cooking spoons are just not big enough. When the wok is full and too heavy to toss, you need something to keep the ingredients moving to ensure even cooking and prevent burning.This turned out to be the perfect tool for the job. It's large enough to stir ingredients in a large and nearly full wok. It's rigid enough to turn over large amounts of food without bending/snapping. As it's silicone it's extremely heatproof but very friendly to all pans including non-stick. It's easy to clean and dishwasher proof too, and looks pretty stylish.If you're a traditionalist and use a carbon steel wok, you could try the  Brabantia Profile Line Stainless Steel Chinese Wok Turner  which is the all-metal equivalent product from Brabantia. If like me you've got a non-stick pan, this is perfect.5 stars - couldn't live without it now.

This is an excellent wok turner. You don't get the nice "clank clank" sound that comes from using metal on a carbon steel wok but otehrwise this utensil does the business. At first you think it might be a bit flimsy but it is perfectly angled to turn and toss food in wok and it also works well as a scoop and is excellent for taking the food out at the end.It cleans really easily and all in all I am very happy with it.

Just the job! Made from flexible silicone the front leading edge is almost as thin as my steel spatula, which I don’t want to use in my new non stick pans. The wok turner get under everything and is really stable for lifting eggs, or anything really, out of the frying pan. Great new addition to my utensil’s drawer.Also ordered the large spatula which is useless. The spatula has a thick leading edge, which means you can not get it under anything. Thinking of throwing it out as it’s a complete waste of space.

i ordered this product together with the matching seive/strainer; they arrived promptly but seperately. The latter item was wrapped in yards of paper roll & packed in a large cadboard box: surely a jiffy bag would have done. still, post free so who am i to moan.the wok stirrer is exactly what i wanted, perfect tool, money well spent; also ideal for stirring & folding an omelette.i haven,t used the strainer yet.now i suppose i will have to collect the other matching tools to get the set.

Second one I've had. First split and broke. Couldn't find anything that performed better so bought another. Trying to treat it with a little more respect this time in case it was the dishwasher or rough handling that broke it first time. Apart from its weakness it is perfectly shaped, perfect size and has just the right level of firmness to make it the perfect spatula for frying in non stick pans. 4 * because the first one split.

I've had this for 5 years and it's still going strong. Great utensil! It's hard to describe how the flexibility of the 'blade' makes stir-frying so much easier. It's also great for getting every last bit out of the pan/wok - works a bit like a silicone cake mixture scrapper for cleaning out the bowl.

I am so happy with it! The best spatula to use for your wok. I used to have 2 wooden ones to turn the food over, but don't need them anymore. This does a much much better job. It's flexible and is a dream to manipulate against a round surface. Perfect with my frying pan when making an omelette. I recommend it and I'm going to buy one for my daughter.

Genialer Schaber, gerade für den Wok. Nichts bleibt zurück und der Schaber kann Hitze gut vertragen.
