These were technically marketed at delicate baby skin and gentle ear cleaning, neither of which apply to my household. What I actually use them for is scrubbing crusty green battery corrosion out of camera and phone compartments with a bit of IPA, which is not exactly the wholesome use case on the packaging. Turns out 100% pure cotton that's gentle enough for a baby's ear is also exactly what you want when you're carefully working corrosion out of tight little contact points without scratching anything. The paper stick holds up fine too, doesn't go soggy or bend halfway through like the flimsier ones do. Best part is the price. A pack of 200 for cheaper than most of the "electronics cleaning" branded buds that are the exact same thing with a fancier label and a smaller count. I'm getting through these at a proper rate and still haven't made a dent in the box. 5 stars, sorry to any actual babies who needed these, they're all going into corroded battery compartments now

These are literally the most well-known cotton bud product in the world! Absolute classic, everyone knows this brand... famously high-quality, reliable products! They can be used for a variety of reasons, a myriad of situations.. Most people tend to use them to clean out (and/or dry) their ears (even though you should not put small objects into the ear canal + earwax is actually good & serves an antibacterial/defensive purpose) but they were mostly intended to be utilised as a cleaning tool for other, small spaces that need cleaning - like in-between a baby's toes, for instance... they can even be used to remove make-up or apply an array of things to your skin/body parts (they can essentially be used to clean almost any object/small place)... Regardless, that has never really stopped people from removing earwax with them (nothing smaller than your elbow should go in your ear)… I admit that I still like to use them to clean & dry my ears after a shower, though. They can be used to apply medicines, ointments, creams, treatments, etc.. to different parts of the body, in an acute and controlled manner. You can also use them to apply lubricants, oils, adhesives (within reason), paints/colouring, solvents or other chemicals/substances, to different devices, machinery, mechanisms, furniture, clothing... Practically ANY object/surface that you desire/require a precise or thin application of any aforementioned/similar substance... (They're exceptionally versatile in that respect!). I like that they are reliable and do not 'fall apart' (cotton coming lose easily), like the cheaper alternatives do (especially when cleaning your ears or applying medication to an area of skin, etc.. sometimes causing damage from the tip of the plastic underneath). This product is far superior to a majority of the competition! These are much more reliable & durable than those horrible cheap nasty ones; these also feel more softer, more absorbent, more 'padded'/dense... generally much more better! They function as they should, being the perfect size + length for a plethora of tasks - everything you could expect from a decent, well-built cotton bud. Double-ended perfection - effectively turning 200 into 400! 100% recommend this product! They come in a very generous, plentiful box which should last anyone an extremely considerable amount of time! (My box usually lasts anywhere between 8— 16 MONTHS, before I need to restock!!

Good quality cotton buds. Easy to use. Durability and thickness has not been reduced by the more eco-friendly materials. We use these often for all sorts of jobs around the house, including cleaning and art projects so very versatile. No plastic in the packaging is a happy bonus. Price point very reasonable. I’ve tried lots of different supermarket brands of cotton buds but always come back to Johnson’s. Yes they’re probably a bit more expensive than supermarket brands but you get what you pay for in this life! Like that they’re in cardboard boxes now rather than plastic. Good quality buds.
