If you only want to give each pupil at taster, you could get away with two packets. I generally use three packets with a class to allow each pupil a good sized piece. I also use freeze dried strawberries as well. These can be found in some supermarkets at a lower price than 'spacefood' and is often from the same supplier. Hi at a guess I'd say packet size was 12 cm and content a good few cms smaller...kind creamy and crunchy and quite tasty....A fun thing for kids

Q: Does it need to be kept in the freezer

No the ice cream is a dried food that you can use from the packet (can't remember but you may be able to hydrate it but my son and his friends at school ate it from the packet - it was a fun addition to their space topic).
