Renshaw fondant icing is the best quality
Good quality fondant icing. Great taste. We always choose Renshaw when possible as it is the best quality and works well. When we need black icing we always buy it rather than colouring our own as it is nearly impossible to create black icing with food colouring.

Easy to roll and mold fondant
Easy to roll, pure black colour, easy to apply to cake and use for edible decorations. The weight is as packaged, does not dry out quickly. Stores well if shrinkwrapped.

OK, but dried out so fast
I bought this to cover a cake board and also to make a 'label' for a cake. I found that when rolling it out it kept sticking to my work-top and the rolling pin, so I had to use a lot of icing sugar - which then inevitably dried it out so it cracked. I also found that there was not enough in the packet to cover a 12 inch square cake board (my fault for not measuring properly) so I had to then nip out to the shops quickly and ended up getting a white fondant to cover the board in (which did not have the same issues with sticking and drying out). I did however use the black sugarpaste for the 'label' and it worked really well (having rejuvenated it with a bit of water) in a small amount, I just wont be using it to cover cake boards or cakes! I found that contrary to other reviews it didn't colour my hands until I wet it, but it came off easily with water and soap! Fairly pleased with this and would use again for small bits.
