I've had several car mounts over the years - the type that clip onto the air vents and the type that stick to the windscreen with suction cups - and they all either fall off or are made a of cheap materials that crack and break after repeated use. My last one dropped off the windscreen and broke (surprise, surprise!) So I thought I'd look at some reviews to see if I could find one that looked a bit more reliable and robust. This Arteck one came highly recommended, so I thought I'd give it a go. At such a low price, it would seem foolish not to. The beauty of this one is that it comes with an adhesive pad on a suction cup, so you get the best of both worlds and it means that you can mount it on your dash or on your windscreen - or pretty much anywhere solid so as long as the surface is clean. I opted to mount it right in the centre of the dashboard on my trusty old Audi A4, and although I was dubious at first - I'm thoroughly impressed now. Once you put it in the desired location and push the suction cup lever down, it sticks like a limpet! You pop your phone into the mount's clamp (which is a little tricky at first as the 'jaws' are quite strong, but you get the hang of it) and there's a screw at the back of it that allows you to tighten up the angle adjustment. Once you've set it you're good to go, and the clamps hold your phone securely. So... I'd say that this is a cracking mount - possibly the best I've had as it feels so strong and dependable. Time will tell if it stays in place, but as it feels so strong I have little doubt of it falling off.

Arteck phone holder is brilliant for the price well worth it. The gel suction is very strong, I’m using this for work as I do a lot of driving and it’s great even when driving on bumping road and potholes it’s very robust. I have an I phone 16 pro max and it holds my phone perfect. Would definitely recommend this for the price and quality very good value for money.

The product is good but the adhesive is so strong that is very difficult to remove. And if you want to remove it to use on another car or a different place, you have to fight with it and damaging your dashboard. If you want it permanently mounted in one place it will remain attached for months with no problems. But I need a portable car mount. Arteck car mount for mobile UPDATE: First the Good News: Further to my previous review on the above I was looking forward to receive an updated version. And indeed is not just an update but a totally new product model S078A, solidly constructed and beautifully looking. Gone the days that the user had to struggle to open the spring loaded arms to put his phone. You now press a button and the arms fully open automatically. You place your phone and close the arms. So simple. Another button adjusts the height of the holder. This is a superbly constructed quality product. But...... The Bad News The bad news is that my main concern on the previous model was not addressed and still remains unresolved on this new model. This product works very well if you mount it permanently in your car or kitchen table. But if you plan to move it to another car forget it. You cannot remove it without causing damage to the windscreen, dashboard or your hernia. And I want a portable holder. If a user wants to install it permanently, then this is one of the best on the market. The guilty item of course on this product is jelly glue on the pad. There is more glue sticking than air suction. I suggest the designers take a look at Tom-Tom's and AnySharp's air sucking pads that use no jellies or other substances. And they glue on any surface without a glue and very easy to remove. As you can gather from the above the Achilles Heel of this beautifully engineered product is the jelly pad which unfortunately the manufacturers have failed to address. In view of the above I upgrade my rating from 3 stars to 4.

Easy to use. Very good quality. Good price too , fits most mobile phones. Yes very pleased indeed

Good product but I've now had two of these fail, one after approximately 18 months and current one after 13 months. Whilst working, it's exceptionally solid. It never falls off the dashboard, even in very hot weather and the grip on the phone is very strong. Additionally, if you take it off the dash there is no residue. I use these all day, every day perhaps inserting/removing phone around 10 times a day so I guess £7-8 is a fair price for one year's use. Eventually one of the springs in the jaws will pop out & (if you can find it) it's difficult to put back in without small long-nosed pliers.

About three or four years ago I had a phone holder that would fall off all the time at the worst possible moments, in the heat, in the cold. It was a complete nightmare. I went through a couple more with different designs until I came across this one. This phone older is the best I have found so far and this is why: - Super sticky sucker pad that sticks to any surface. The adhesion can be improved further by wetting the pad but I've never needed to. - Minimalist design, it doesn't look like some kind of over complicated robotic arm with wheels and levers like some others I have seen. - It doesn't have to go on your window, in fact it sticks so well to your dashboard so why bother with the window? - the phone gripping mechanism is sturdy, simple and elegant, no magnets, no spongy panels with flaps here and there, just sprung jaws that grip your phone perfectly. - The price. It's cheaper than most of the upmarket phone holders but has the same quality. Since discovering this phone holder I have bought four of them, for my old car, my partner's car, my partner's camper and now for my new car and it works perfectly every time. Each time I consider looking elsewhere and each time I come back to this holder because nothing else really compares to it.

Good price, firm attachment at auction end and to phone. The real test for these items is longevity so time will tell but I am happy with the design and cost.

It was as advertised, works perfectly on any smooth surface, glass being the best choice. As for not holding on dashboards, I've never seen a dash smooth enough to support a suction cup except on 1950-1975 vehicles that were usually metal.

Update:after experiencing such prompt and helpful customer service I am changing my original review. Their professionalism and willingness to help with my situation, is the type of customer service that I thought was long since gone these days. I believe that I likely just got a defective product and I do not want to stop anyone from giving this company a chance to shop with them. I definitely recommend them. At first, this product was decent. It would hold the phone and stick to the dash, but then it would always end up angled downwards and would come off the dashboard regularly even though everything was clean and dry it just wanted to stay or keep the phone in the same position. This was when it was being used in the summer, I can imagine it would be much worse in the winter. Do not recommend.

追記 レビュー後にアフター担当者から連絡があり、使用後にもかかわらず、 代替品を手配して頂けた。アフターサービスがとても安心出来るので良いと思います。 箱も商品の一部と個人的に考えているのです、確認してもらいたい。 このコストを考えたら、良い商品と言えます。 しっかり固定出来、スマホも取外しがスムーズに行えます。 減点要素は、 ①商品の入っている箱が潰れており、明らかに返品品か中古と思われる商品であった。 ②商品に傷があった。 箱も商品だと私は考えてしまいます。箱はどうでも良いと考えているのであれば残念です。 この2点が無ければ☆5です。 下部の調整が出来ないとかありますが、コスト努力は良いと思います。
