Einhell Compound Mitre Saw 1600W 5000rpm Cutting Speed, +/-45° Mitre

Purchased item was delivered on time and sufficiently packaged. Initial assembly was problem free and I mounted and secured the saw to a substantial working base. First and subsequent wood cuttings proved very satisfactory albeit I now wish that I had ordered the laser guided cut version. Line of sight alignment can be somewhat, but slightly, off measure. Nevertheless, am pleased with this item but would recommend other buyers go for the more expensive laser guided item.

I’m a young adult and by no means a trades man. I’m a novice DIY and I try and do little bits around my house myself. I needed some wood cut and B&Q wouldn’t do it because it was too small. So I needed a gadget that wasn’t too expensive and also not too intimidating. The set up was pretty easy tbh as everything was already set up. I watched a YouTube video to help make sure I was doing the right thing as I’ve never ever used anything like this before. Once I was confident I’d set it up correctly, I made the cuts! I’m really happy with this purchase and as you can see from the video, a nice clean cut! I cut all this wood in less than 10 mins which would have taken me over an hour with my hand saw! 5 stars for me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The saw is very lightweight, but still feels sturdy. I was a little sceptical buying this saw after some of the reviews I've read about cuts not being straight, so the first thing I checked was how straight the cut was. Right out of the box the setup is fairly good, the difference between the middle of the blade to the bottom was about 0.5 mm, which means the cut is ever so slightly out. I therefore decided to adjust the saw to get a completely straight cut. This is where I ended up having a small issue. The adjusting screw is secured by a bolt, and unfortunately I was unable to adjust the bolt with a wrench as there is no spanner with the saw, but the bold wouldn't move and instead wore down the bolt. So I have ordered a spanner which will hopefully resolve the issue and I can make the adjustments I want. I decided to go ahead and make a chair/stool, and as you can see by the pictures it went really well despite it's not fully adjusted. Second issue, which is a smaller one, is that the dust bag is just for decoration, there is pretty much no saw dust in the bag and as you can see it is everywhere else. Third issue would be the clamp, when attached the left you cannot cut with a tilt as it's in the way. Also if you try to cut at an angle the clamp cannot be located to the right side as the again it would block the cutting motion as the house/motor box would hit the clamp. This is just a slight inconvenience. The manual is just a little awkward. All the pictures are in the front and have all the numbers pointing at the parts, the English manual is a little bit further in and I had to flip backwards and forwards and if I founds myself annoyed when I accidentally let the page slip (more than once). Also the pictures has numbers all the way up to 29-30 something, but I could only find a description up to no.22, so I hope I haven't missed anything important. The pictures were also very small and I ended up downloading the manual so I could zoom in on the pictures to see what it was actually pointing at. I would definitely recommend this saw and also that you take the time to read the manual and adjust the saw before proper use and I don't think you should have any issues with the cuts.

Birthday gift for my husband so he can do some projects himself! He was very happy with the gift and tested it out on some wood that needed cutting. Cut very smoothly good protection guard. Loud as you would expect but did the job needed so we're happy with it for our little DIY plans.

Easy to use. I bought a cheap collapsible workbench and screwed the saw to it. I used it for fitting dado rails and wainscoting/panelling. Accurate cuts take a bit of practice, wondered about a saw with a laser but only needed it for this job, so didn't want to spend the extra money. If saw need for lots of jobs, laser would have been desirable

Usually don't write reviews, but this is a great tool, makes DIY so much easier than a manual saw. Would highly recommend.

I was building a fence and decided it would speed things up if i bought a mitre saw since there was going to be a lot of cutting. Im not someone that does DIY often (hence not already owning one) so really wasnt sure what I was going to get when I ordered. I bought this because it was cheap enough to do the job and if it didnt seem up to much after at least it had served its purpose. I have to say Im pleasantly surprised by this purchase. It set up easily, the saw cut quickly and accurately and I know this will last for many more projects. This thing made light work of many bits of fencing and managed to cut all the angles i needed. Its worth noting that the video I watched on this product page shows a different version of this (it doesnt have a laser etc) but I pretty much expected that when I bought it so I wasnt surprised but worth mentioning. Dont be put off by the price of this but instead trust the reviews. *2021 review update* Since writing this I've become a bit more of a DIY enthusiast and have installed a full kitchen and converted a huge garage into an office/gym. This saw has been vital for it all and it held up very well. If and when it breaks, I'll get another.

I wouldn’t buy this circular saw again. It might be fine for cutting logs for the fireplace, but it’s not suitable for any serious or precise work. The lack of cutting accuracy is a real drawback, and overall it just doesn’t meet the standard I expected.

I tagli sono puliti e precisi, il motore ha la giusta potenza per legno e pannelli, e il sacchetto raccogli-trucioli aiuta a tenere la zona di lavoro più ordinata. La capacità di taglio è più che sufficiente per l’uso domestico: fino a 120 x 55 mm a 90°, oppure 80 x 55 mm a 45°, con possibilità di inclinare la lama fino a 45° a sinistra per tagli obliqui. Non è pensata per un uso professionale intensivo, ma per chi lavora ogni tanto a casa è un ottimo alleato: rapporto qualità-prezzo eccellente e funzionalità più che sufficienti. Consigliata a chi cerca una troncatrice affidabile senza spendere troppo.
