Buff Rooibos Tea Wool Buff

I've been using Buffs for 7 years now and have quite a collection. Mostly Regular Buffs and a few Polar Buffs in all sorts of colours and patterns, but this is my first Merino Wool Buff and I must say I'm delighted as to how warm it kept me in this snowy weather we have right now in the UK.I ordered the Shamir Cedar colour(more like Olive Green) so it compliments my olive green military uniform when I'm out with my dad in his vintage WW2 military vehicles at weekends. I ordered it specifically because knowing how well Buffs keep you warm, but also knowing that my dads trucks have no doors or windows to keep the elements out! I feel this Buff will earn its keep in this department!Its indeed very warm and I would *like* to say its soft, but in my opinion it feels a bit rough at first - it could be that I've worn it straight out of the box (as such) so perhaps once it gets its first wash, it might soften up more. Not too worried :)The wool Buff is also longer than a regular Buff, which I think is an advantage as it gives you more fabric to play around with - for example,if you make a hat out of it and have a large head, the extra fabric will come in handy! It won't be a tight stretch like the Regular Buffs!I've had the opportunity to Christen my Buff on the day it arrived already by using it multiple ways when taking a hike through the mountains of snow we have here in Scotland at the moment!Its been used as:A HatBalaclavaScarf/ Neck warmerHair BandIt keeps you warm when you're cold, but it also keeps you cool when you're hot!When I was wearing it out on my hike through the snow yesterday, there was no end to the snow falling from the sky and eventually my Wool Buff was soaked by the time I got home, HOWEVER it kept me warm regardless how wet it got! Got home and stuck it on a radiator for 30 mins and it was dry and ready to go again.The only downside I find with the Wool Buff it that when I was wearing it as a Balaclava when wet, it seems to lose a bit of elasticity about it (unlike Regular Buffs that are made from Microfibre Polyester) but it seemed to regain its stretchiness when I got it dried at home. Must be a temporary thing.And to the sceptics out there who think its just an overpriced piece of tubing - well its not! Until you try it out for yourself, you're seriously missing out! Buff is a technical fabric that wicks away sweat, but keeps you warm and is very lightweight and versatile piece of clothing. There are at least 12 ways you can wear Buff (go Youtube it) and for £20 for a Wool one, its a bargain and well worth its weight in gold.Would I recommend Wool Buff? Most certainly yes! In fact I would recommend any Buff!Coming from a Buff Veteran, very happy with my first Wool Buff and may well end up buying it in other colours/ patterns too ^_^

This is the second Buff I own. Initially I brought the cotton version as I was afraid of wool because it’s itchy... After I tried a merino item I immediately went and brought the Buff Merino version. I must say that if you are a outdoor person this item is a must have on your kit. Also you must’ve it from Buff as it’s made in Spain. Also you must have it from merino as it’s the best fabric, net superior to cotton. The reason for that is , the merino dry faster than cotton, doesn’t need frequent washing, keep warm even when wet and.... doesn’t smell. If I have to compare it with the cotton one also it’s a bit longer,or, it’s just my optical illusion.I love this simple piece of kit as it’s simple and efficient. This is what you need in a SHTF situation: simplicity and efficiency.Also you need a strong built and Buff is a Spain company with a superior quality control who is not messing around with the costumers than also the price I paid is affordable. You may found something cheaper, like next to nothing but: how often you must spend your time and money buying again the same product after a year or less?I’m a professional outdoor survivalist and a professional PSD and my Buff cotton has been with me for the last six or seven years and looks like new.Show me another one to last that long!Can be used literally for everything you need: from mouth filter in a dessert mission to a hat, washing cloth, bandana, hand warmer, water filter, first Aid sling, ice pouch when injured, electronics protective sleeve, polishing my boots with it, xtender for my assault rifle sling... name it and that Buff has been always in my pocket together with a pair of tactical gloves and it has never let me down.I genuinely hope that the merino one will last as long as the cotton one .The price and the delivery from Alloutdoor UK was superb considering the quality of the product so I strongly recommend it from this guys.They also send me a £60 wine voucher with it! These buffs are almost unparalleled. It's so light-weight, even compared to a normal buff, that you barely notice you're wearing it but it still manages to keep you warm and comfortable. The only downside is that the merino wool range from Buff seem to wear slightly faster than a normal Buff. I've noticed some slight bobbling after albeit daily wear for 6 - 9 months. It can also be a slighter harder fit when wore in one of the hat configurations if you are bald as merino wool tends to be softer and therefore slides around easier. I would still recommend this over over any other Buff product.

If you're trying to decide between the Coolnet or the Merino Wool versions to use as a mask i bought both at the same time so i could compare for myself...For context i have a large beard so a standard face mask was not the best option for me as i work in a place that requires me by law to wear a mask for 6 hours straight due to the recent change in rules in the UK... it should also be noted that using either of these products as masks will most likely NOT protect you from Covid-19 as well as something like an N95 mask may do.Breathability:They are both quite easy to breath through as the material on both versions is quite thin, but the Coolnet version is just slightly easier (by maybe 10%) also depending on how much you talk the merino wool one can collect a little bit of moisture where your mouth is again making it just a that little bit more difficult to breath through, but the Coolnet version is "moisture wicking" so this doesn't happen when talking a lot.Heat:The Coolnet version stays true to it's name and is definitely cooler than the Merino Wool version, you can kind of feel the cooling sensation as you breath, perhaps that's why it feels slightly easier to breath through, however as i write this review winter is approaching so if you are planning on being outside a lot maybe the Merino Wool would be better suited for you.Comfort:The Merino Wool version is definitely more comfortable for me, softer on the skin around your face and neck, the Coolnet version isn't uncomfortable by any means but certainly is not as soft, but this could be due to the fact that despite both versions being "One Size Fits All" The Coolnet version is slightly smaller (tighter around your face) this could also be an attributing factor to why it's slightly easier to breathe through, that being said there are some negative reviews on the Merino Wool version saying it's too big & baggy for some people on the smaller side so buyer beware.Looks:Obviously this is subjective but to me the Merino Wool version definitely looks the best, it looks the most natural with clothing, that being said there's nothing really natural about wearing a mask in public so it's moot, but the Coolnet version can have a slight "shine" to it in some lighting and you can tell it's a synthetic fabric, also since it's slightly tighter on your face you are able to see through it very slightly in some lighting & it is easier to see the shape of your face and even some lip movements.Overall Quality:The Merino Wool version has a stitched lining around both ends which gives it a nice edge in quality over the Coolnet version which has no stitched lining or seam of any kind the fabric simply ends, also by default due to the nature of the material the coolnet looks and feels cheaperMy Personal Recommendation:Function Over Form... Despite the Merino Wool version being "better" in many ways i would pick the Coolnet version every time mainly because it is easier to breath through, it doesn't get too hot & it wicks moisture (spit, sweat & rain) it may not feel as soft or look as nice but you can definitely breath through it & talk through it for a longer period of time.

Received in a couple of days, so extremely quick, all authentic in original BUFF packaging. Twenty plus years ago I bought this make and still have the same Buffs. Beautifully soft, long and warm or cold depending on the season. Great for he Covid 19 cover up because it can go over ears, nose and mouth. You can breathe and doesn’t steam up glasses if you wear them. Reviewers have mentioned in previous reviews how thin it is. True it is a thin woollen tube, but don’t think for a minute it won’t keep you warm in winter, or cooler in summer. Works both ways. Just rinse under the tap with a bit of detergent, and dry on the line. Do not put in the dryer. These buffs will last for years. Even though have Morino wool, it’s not wool as we know wool to be. It’s super soft.I have bought several this month, because the buffs are a very good price.If you find masks for the outbreak too restricting , use a buff. Thank you to the seller, excellent

Purchased the Buff Merino Wool Multi Functional Headwear.Not sure what Buff Merino wool is or should feel or look like, the one I received looks a bit like a long and wide nylon tight, but it has plenty of stretch and fits easily over the head.I've not tried the different ways of wearing it, bought it purely to fit around my neck and under my coat on very cold and windy days and so far it works as designed and described.Although there's not been many very cold/windy days, when I have worn it, it has kept the cold chilly wind out and been comfortable to wear. Unlike scarfs etc... where you often find the wind will find a way in through a small gap as you walk, and scarfs can be bulky under the coat, there has been no issues with the Buff Merino Wool Multi Functional Headwear, keeping me warm and not bulky under my coat.Easily rolls up to a small size and fits in my coat pocket ready for when needed again.Didn't know what to expect with this purchase but have been pleasantly surprised and would recommend if you feel the cold around your neck and don't want to carry around a bulky scarf.

I can't really make my mind up about his one. The merino fabric is nice and thin and warm as expected but definitely a bit scratchier than other merino stuff I own. I didn't expect the large black logo that is printed on it as it isn't in the photo so that puts me off a bit. Buffs seem not to really work for me I wanted to wear it as a mask when cycling in very cold weather but it directs my breath upwards and steams up my glasses so that's not a goer. the cap and head band options unfortunately make me look ridiculous which is a shame as I really wanted something to keep my ears warm without overheating my head but obviously this isn't the fault of the buff just a unfortunate convergence of large head and thick hair creating a bulbous effect. Also not particularly comfortable for me when worn like this. So it may end up as just a not particularly outstanding neck warmer for me.

I read all the reviews,and especially that one by Roger.After this, I found that cedar seemed quite a nice colour. So I bought it. I was happily surprised. I was confronted by a deep dark green, which I like very much.I put in on straight away and tried the different ways to wear this.In the evening, I still had it on when it grew quite chilly. I lifted the buff over my head; it was a delight to be warmed in this way.In fact, I am delighted with the style, as you can wear it as an unobtrusive "scarf" which will protect your neck from the wind. You can pull it over the top of your head to protect the ears. Really splendid. The merino wool is tightly knitted, very soft and not scratchy as you could have expected with ordinary wool. I like my cedar buff very much!

Ich benutze den Merino Buff seit Januar 2023 und könnte nicht zufriedener sein! Die Qualität ist einfach hervorragend - auch nach vielen Wäschen und intensivem Gebrauch sieht der Schal immer noch gut aus und macht genau das, was er soll. Das Material aus Merinowolle ist unglaublich angenehm auf der Haut und kratzt nicht, so dass der Schal, sobald die Temperaturen etwas sinken, zu meinem treuen Begleiter wird.Besonders begeistert bin ich, wie gut der Schal trotz des auf den ersten Blick dünnen Materials warm hält. Gerade bei Outdoor-Aktivitäten wie Wandern, Skifahren oder Radfahren, aber auch bei einfachen Gartenarbeiten ist er für mich nicht mehr wegzudenken. Und wenn es doch mal etwas kühler wird, leistet er unter einer zweiten Schicht seine Dienste.Ich kann diesen Schal jedem empfehlen, der ein langlebiges, funktionelles und qualitativ hochwertiges Produkt sucht, mit dem man es auch bei kühleren Temperaturen draußen gut aushalten kann und das sich trotzdem super in der Tasche verstauen lässt.

I brought this wool buff as a gift exchange gift. It was not as well received as I would have hoped, but I chalked it up to ignorance. I really like buffs, and the merino wool buffs are expensive. I guess they do not necessarily look like much. Another draw back was the color. I had to pick this color (which I love) as the more neutral colors were way over the exchange limit. One of my sisters considered appropriating the buff (as the rules allow), but decided against it because it did not go with any of her other winter wear. Another sister eventually gave the buff back to me. I think I mentioned having lost my buff once too often and she was just being generous. The buff is a thin wool. The thinness of buffs is one of the things I like about them. You can fold them up and put them in a coat pocket. A wool buff and a pair of "mouse" mittens are all I need for hats and gloves most days. They are easy to keep on hand. The little stretch gloves remind me of Mickey Mouse gloves. I call them "mouse" mittens (even though they are actually gloves).

My goodness do I ever love this product. This is my go to piece whenever I go on hikes; be it mild weather or extreme cold weather (-30 Celsius). Keeps warm, dries extremely fast. I mainly use it as a bandana for my ears during hikes and a neck warmer for casual walks. Love it.
