Doner Kebab Seasoning Spice Mix - 100g (Serves 10)

This taste amazing I have ordered a few times.

Pretty good, slightly weak in seasoning, I added some garlic powder, about a table spoon with 1kg lamb. I also use natural Greek yoghurt as a binding agent. Roll into a loaf shape, slow cooked covered with foil and took of half way through. Gas 3 2/2.5 hours

Not entirely sure what I expected, but this tasted really nice. Super easy to use - what’s not to like?!

Wow, this stuff tastes wonderful. I can't 100% agree that it takes exactly like Donar Kebab. Nevertheless, its tastes wonderful. I am big into powder flavourings and like experimenting with all sorts of brands and rarely use what the flavours are 'supposed' to be used for. So I tried this with lamb mine and it tasted gorgeous but we found the meat way too greasy. I was a tad annoyed as this has nothing to do with the flavouring. So we tried again with turkey mince for a healthier meatloaf. We added an egg to bind and set it again in the loaf tin. I actually followed the packet instructions for powder to meat ratio. Again got a most fab meat loaf and it disappeared very quickly on the same day! The flavour on this definately deserves 5 stars but I thought it was a tad expensive. Just a tad. Would I buy it again being that price? Yes I would but not as often as I might if it were a little less, as at this price Il see it as a bit of a treat to have. This might be because I have bought so many different fab flavourings at prices quite a bit under this price range. It is definately worth a go though.

I bought this doner kebab seasoning to make kebabs at home, and while the flavour was quite nice and definitely had that takeaway-style taste, the overall result was a bit mixed for me. It was easy to use and the instructions were straightforward. The spice blend itself is well balanced and gave the meat a good, savoury flavour, and it did make the kebabs smell and taste appealing. However, I found that it dried the meat out quite a lot and made it turn a bit rubbery, especially after cooking. I followed the recommended method, but the texture wasn’t as juicy or tender as I’d hoped, which took away from the overall experience. Because of that, I’m giving it 3 stars — it’s fine for flavour, but the end result wasn’t quite what I wanted in terms of moisture and texture. It might work better with some adjustments, but as-is it was just okay for me.

Arrived and delivered promptly. Very good value for money. I used Lambs mince and followed the recipe & I also added some dried red onion & dried garlic and mixed it by hand in a bowl and also a few teaspoons of garlic purée and then greased my loaf tin & added the mixture foiled & slightly changed the cooking time of gas mark 2, bottom shelf for 2 hours then turned it up to gas mark 4 for 1/2 hour & I didn’t take my foil off as I didn’t need to, it did double in size and by heck it came out lovely and tasted delicious, the whole family demolished between pitta breads and salad. It’s true what everyone else has said it’s like you would get at the takeaway, but even better, that’s what all my family has said. So now I’ve just ordered some more. So well done to the sellers for making this top quality ingredients. I will definitely be ordering this from now on. I would highly recommend.

This tastes exactly like donner meat from a takeaway. I probably couldn't distinguish the two if I did a blind taste test. I mixed 1kg of lamb mince with the 50g packet of seasoning and cooked in a loaf tin for 40 minutes at 180 Celsius, turning the lamb out of the tin and turning it over replacing it to the the tin after 20 minutes. I'd recommend putting foil in the loaf tin to make it easier to remove the lamb when turning it out. For my personal taste it's ever so slightly salty, but this is easily sorted by putting 40g of the spice mix to 1kg of lamb mince. I put the cooked lamb in the fridge over night and when cold, used a potato peeler to give me that "takeaway" style of thinly sliced meat strips. There's a fair bit of fat in lamb mince, so it doesn't dry out even after reheating. Served in a pitta with grated white cabbage, carrot and thinly sliced red onion. Yoghurt and mint sauce to finish! Lovely and healthy!

Impressed with this seasoning. Used with a lamb and beef mince mix. Easy to use. Tastes lovely. Only criticism is that the ingredients list does not state what spices are in it so added half a teaspoon of garlic powder. Bought the 100g pack to try it, have now ordered the 500g so definitely be using again.
