Home made butter is the best !
This is a fantastic product. Incredibly easy to make butter and it now takes me about 8 minutes to convert double cream into the creamiest butter you could want. Tips on use - try to have it on a hard surface when you're churning (not on your lap in front of the TV as I did first time) - it's just easier to churn and seems to turn into butter faster when it's on a solid surface. Don't be afraid to have a peek into the jar mid-churn to see how it's doing. My first go I have several peeks and pokes and it didn't seem to adversely affect the final product - although it did take the best part of an hour to churn ! I've now tried all available double creams in Sainsburys and Tescos - I was surprised to see the organic / higher quality looking creams had higher fat and sugar contents. I tried Elmlea - it takes up to an hour to churn and then you get about a third of the butter you get with the same amount of conventional cream. I now use the standard own brand double creams and it churns in about 8 minutes. The butter milk is delicious to drink or can be used in cooking. (I put muslin over a jug / bowl then pour the butter and butter milk in, lifting the butter out in the muslin). And I've found that rinsing the butter whilst it's still in the muslin means you don't lose any and is less hassle then trying to rinse it in the jar, as is recommended. The churner itself feels quite sturdy.

Fun , perfect results
So satisfying. I suggest leaving the cream out of the fridge for an hour or so before churning and be patient, it will split the cream a couple of times. Also, rinse the butter well so it keeps longer

Don’t waste your money
I wouldn’t buy this again if someone paid me to use it. I’ve been churning double cream for 40 minutes now. It’s still whipped cream consistency. My arms about to fall off, the churner squeaks like a Victorian machine that hasn’t been oiled in 15 years. Never ever using this thing again what a complete waste of money.

Ok but…
I’ve used the item 3 times now and yes it “eventually” turns double cream more solid I found the turning mechanism a bit flimsy whilst turning and keep expecting it to break. Also using just 300ml of cream I’ve found once it starts to solidify it sticks to the inside of the glass jar and you’re forever removing the lid trying to push the substance back down toward the paddle, to be honest it’s more of a gimmick than a useful item, I’ve now gone back to using a cheap hand mixer and a bowl..

Easy Peasy & fun !
Works well - easy to use & had butter separate from the buttermilk in about 8 minutes rinsed in 3 & patted out in about the same & the whole process was done in about 15 minutes - easy to clean up the churner after & the butter is the best I have ever had - I was chuffed with the results & found it an enjoyable thing to do - use it regularly now - recommend.
