Great idea, but product quality a tad lacklustre in parts.
The media could not be loaded. The woodworking and such is fine and the product is fairly light, so all that's well. It can also fit fairly sizeable books, up to the average physics textbook. There are however two main issues that I'm going to just take aim at that break this product for me.The first is that the hinges on the little wooden bar at the bottom (you can see it in my poorly shot video) do not hold up very well at all. Originally it was able to support the book, but after a week of use, the hinges (also shown) seem to have drooped down, as has the wooden bar. If you put a book in without opening it while at the highest angle of elevation (I didn't show it in the video, now that I look back I probably should have >.<) it just slides off the bottom. It also means that the page holders don't make correct contact, as shown. The second problem I have is the page holders themselves. I'm not sure what they're made of, but they're not very bendable at all and so you can't adjust them. This wouldn't be as much of a problem if the hinges didn't break, but they'd be far more likely to break before any of the wooden components did in any case possible, so it'd just make sense to have adjustable page holders so that you could make sure they have contact when the hinges inevitably broke, which in my case they did after a week. For what it's worth, the product is still usable and I'll just install a wedge underneath it to hold up the bookholding bar, but I definitely don't think it's worth £18,00 considering the above. Kudos for the wood though, it looks bloody fantastic.

Expensive and poor materials
Poor materials: Plywood backing, very soft wood shelf.Finished in a bright orange lacquer.I would doubt the shelf would survive big cook books very long.Returned for a refund

Disappointing quality control
I bought a second one of these as a present because I liked the first one, but the 2nd one was much less well made and the warped hinges mean that the book isn't kept off the desk and flops forward. Unfortunately by the time I saw the one I had given as a present, it was past the time when I could return it.Very disappointing that for something so relatively expensive they don't have quality control to check that each one is properly made before they send it out

Lightweight but sturdy
This book stand is perfect for me! I like to read as I am eating dinner and with the adjustable 'page holders' it accommodate books of many sizes, the reading angles is also adjustable.

Works, but very bad quality.
Perfect for the advertised use, however very poor quality materials just a piece of plywood with orange paint. Managed to cut myself on the handle of the very poor quality carrying case, and managed to get a splinter from the cheap plywood.

Very sturdy and well made product
Very sturdy and well made product. I need to keep some of my books open to check some pages when I'm working and this is perfect for that job!The only fault is the screw on the left side, the one that is holding the adjustable arm. It gets loose pretty easily. I have to use screwdriver once in a while to make it tight again. Otherwise, this is a very good product!

Good and sturdy
Good quality but a little bit light than I expected. Howeverthat doesnt bother me when using it. Could hold really thick books and the hands are also very sturdy. Love it! Recommend it for students.

Quality Kit - copes with thick (I.T.) books
Seems quite sturdy, looks pretty good, copes with 1000 page computer books... nice easy-to-use clips to hold pages in place & range of angles to hold book at make for easy use for studying whilst on (home-)work desk.
