Will it work with a coconut

Not unless coconut is classed as citrus sorry

can i get a small head for this as its rather large for pemons

I don’t know if you can get a smaller head I’m afraid. I use this for oranges and lemons with no problem. It doesn’t really matter if the skin splits if squeezing small fruit. I use it for limes too!
