## Description

desertcart.com: Allulose Sweetener 4 lbs - Pure Low Calorie Zero Net Carb Natural Keto Sugar Substitute With No Aftertaste - Perfect for Baking and Sweetening Your Favorite Foods - By Fit Lane Nutrition : Grocery & Gourmet Food

Review: This is the best! - This is the best sweetener to use to make ice cream. No after taste and it tastes just like real sugar! Recommend this by far!
Review: The perfect sugar replacement if on keto - It feels, tastes, and works just like sugar. I'm on a keto lifestyle and this has been a godsend for me. It's not quite as sweet as sugar, but I typically add about 1/4 tsp of pure stevia powder to a cup of allulose and I can't tell the difference. It reduces down to a syrup, or caramel, just like sugar does. I know can make good quality caramel that no one can tell the difference between it and the full sugar stuff. I reduce it down to a syrup for corn syrup replacement, and then if I want to make keto maple syrup or honey, I just add the extracts to flavor it the way I want. For baking however, I will do 50/50 allulose and erythritol to get the sweetness I want without the crystallization from full erythritol or the burning from full allulose. Also, to make powdered sugar, just add the stevia powder as I said and blend it in your ninja or whatever you have available and it will powder it to where you can't tell the difference between it and the real thing. Loving this stuff!!!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: The label says "manufactured for fitlane nutrition" so who is the manufacturer "for" fitlane? why isn't there 100% transparency on the manufacturer?**
A: Fitlane has NOT disclosed the country of origin for their allulose product. When I encounter this kind of shading in food product listings, I assume "China", and accordingly, I assume China in this case. One reason China sourcing is frequently hidden by USA food distributors is the widespread contamination by lead, cadmium, and other heavy metals over virtually all important Chinese agricultural areas. When contaminated products are sold in California, a "Prop 65" warning is required on the packaging...and I've seen this on competing products. There's no Prop 65 warning mentioned by Fitlane here, but this may mean only they don't sell in California. We simply won't know where this stuff is from until and unless Fitlane tells us.

**Q: What is this product made from?**
A: Unlike what W.M.T stated it is not in the description. The description says “ Allulose is a rare sugar that occurs naturally in raisins, figs, and other foods”. It fails to say that allulose is typically derived from corn, because it’s cheap and easy to get. Unfortunately though they don’t ever actually include what they got the allulose from just that it’s allulose. I’ve tried countless times to find allulose made from dates or something else because I can’t have the corn allulose. Good luck!

**Q: What country is this product manufactured in?**
A: The label does not say specifically, but it does say the product was made for a US based company and a USA flag is included. So, it certainly implies it is made in the USA.
Country of origin rules have changed. It used to be that if a product was imported, the country had to be disclosed on the product. If no country was mentioned, we could assume it was made in the USA. I understand that now we have treaties that prohibit country of origin labeling for some products to hide the fact that some products are exported. I am opposed to such terms.
Good luck.

**Q: Is this granulated or powdered? The description keeps referring to it as both powder and granulated. It’s only one or the other.**
A: It sounds strange but it’s in between. Its not as course as granulated, but isn’t as fine as powdered.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great tasting and economical substitute for table sugar
*by G***R on April 11, 2023*

I generally follow a low carb diet and avoid sweets, but for the occasional sweetened dessert or foods that I do have or make at home, I’ve struggled at times to find an ideal and good tasting alternative to sugar. Enter Allulose. This is a non-metabolizable, non-absorbed essentially no-calorie sugar with a minimum of GI side effects (binging on Allulose does have GI side effects); and it tastes very close to actual table sugar. I find that this is ideal as a standalone table sugar substitute, or blended with other sweeteners such as erythritol, for cakes, brownies, cheesecakes, sweetened coffees, homemade ice cream, and many other treats. The main drawback for Allulose is that it tends to be expensive. This 4-pound bag is very competitive in terms of price; less expensive than many other alternatives.
