Great for frail seniors
My tiny little 3lb Yorkie is getting old. She will be 14 in January. She has always been a bit of a sickly dog, throwing up and loose stools, and quite fussy with her food. She has also always been very skinny. When she was younger this wasn't too much of a problem, but recently her hips, spine and ribs have become visible and obvious to the touch. She's not unwell, she's just old and doesn't eat enough to maintain her weight anymore. So I picked up some of this stinky, sticky paste! I've been giving her a pea sized amount on my finger a few times a day, just when she wakes up to toilet and would otherwise have a little snack, and it's helped encourage her to eat afterwards on occasion, although still not in the mornings. She has never eaten in the mornings, but now she doesn't have to! I do sometimes need to put it directly on her tongue as she's not interested at all, but again this isn't new for us. It's quite sticky and smells like meat and malt, which isn't unpleasant but it does linger. Definitely something you need to be able to wash your hands after giving. I don't know exactly how many calories are in this, but she is definitely putting weight back on, which started just a week after introducing this to her diet. It's most evident around her ribs which I'm not worried about getting my finger stuck underneath anymore, and on her spine which feels much less nobbly than it did! Value for money is a hard one to decide, because for me with my tiny dog, the tube will last maybe a month with how regularly I'm giving it to her? I think that's excellent for the price. For someone with a much bigger dog, it may be cheaper to get a prescription from a vet!

Excellent Digestive Support — Worked Within Days!
My dog recently had a bout of loose stools, and after some research I decided to try the VETIQ Stool Firm tablets. I noticed a big improvement after just two days. The tablets are easy to give — they can be crushed into food or given whole, and my dog had no trouble taking them. The combination of kaolin and pectin helps to absorb excess moisture and calm the stomach, while pumpkin adds gentle fiber support. I also like that they are suitable for both cats and dogs, so I only need one product for all my pets. The bottle contains 45 tablets, making it good value if used regularly or kept on hand for occasional tummy upsets. These tablets have become part of my pet-care kit. They work quickly, are gentle on the stomach, and really do what they promise — firm up stools and restore healthy digestion. Highly recommended for any pet owner dealing with soft or inconsistent stools.

Very useful for intensive care but high sugar so
This paste is useful to help cat regain it's appetite. I would only use for cats who need bringing back to health or off their food for a period. If your cat is off their food it may be the food itself which doesn't agree with them. If you feed any mammal sugars it will increase insulin in their body and make them hungrier.. If you have a sugary/ high carbohydrate breakfast you will probably be hungrier than you would if you had a high protein diet. So in that way this will stimulate appetite and is very helpful for cats in dire health situations who will not eat at all. It does have some useful added vitamins but I would not use this as a daily supplement for regular healthy cats.. just in times when cats are either ill or off their food. Cats need meat and that means meat. I recommend speaking to a holistic cat nutritionist who can advise on a whole food balanced natural diet. But for very poorly felines and stressed cats off their food this is useful for short periods.

My cat wouldn’t eat it
My very poorly cat wouldn’t eat this, it smells like marmite and I tried disguising a little in a lick treat and putting it on her paws and chin. Sadly I can’t rate its efficacy.

Cost effective treatment for dogs
Has proved very effective for our dog who has suffered with dodgy bowel movements for years. A few days have made a massive difference and saved a lot of vet's bills. Dog swallows the tablets easily and they have no effect on appetite. Will be a must have item in the cupboard.

Avoid
The product states that this can be given as a treat. From the first, one of my two dogs would not eat it. It spat it out. The second time I tried it in ham. This only worked once. After that I had to grind it up - AND MIX it in the food. However, after all this effort, it has not worked. So I thought that maybe I was being impatient. I checked the packaging and internal leaflet to see if it was indicated that it would work after a certain amount of time. No mention of this. I went back online to see if there was any mention of this - no. I re-checked the reviews. There was one relevant one which said that if her dog did not get a tablet it would eat its own poo. This implies that it should work immediately and has no lasting effect. Additionally, I discovered it would only work on its own poo and not that of other dogs (this is stated on the packet but I had failed to notice this). I was surprised I chose this product and paid so much when this was not really supported by the reviews. This is not like me. Anyway, based on all the above, my advice is to try a different product. (And if you go to the trouble of reading reviews, pay attention!). Important information to add: I only worked out this morning that these tablets actually have an adverse effect on me. When I crush them to go into the food bowls, I end up coughing and sneezing. I didn't realise this before because I have had a cold. The point is - if they are having this effect on me, what on earth are they doing to my poor dogs? To emphasise my point - I do not suffer from any allergies and am not prone to react to things. I never get side-effects from medication. I really think these need to be examined for harmful effects on dogs.

Great stuff! Happy dogs, happy me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
3 or of 4 dogs recommend it. 😂 As in 3 out of 4 dogs actually eat the tablet as a treat, the other one I have to “persuade” her to eat it. Perhaps persuade is a bit weak here. I have to open her mouth, put it on her last molars (right between the upper and the bottom one) and close her mouth, crushing the tablet with the molars. I actually found that this is the best way to give her any tablets, because for some reason after the tablet is crushed so far in her mouth she just automatically goes to swallow it, however just in case I gently hold her mouth until I hear the “gulp” sound. And re tablets themselves - really good. Work like a charm, especially great for puppies as they always seem to find something they shouldn’t eat, and get softer poops, so these pills were just brill. The only thing is - they suggest half for a puppy, my 2 are 6 months old and it didn’t seem that half a pill was enough. But 1 full one was definitely better, firming up their poops (apoologies for the too much info) but no other way to describe them hah. So, I just give them 1 full each. They are about 4kg puppies, works well for them. Also, they aren’t fiddly, and great if you travel. (However the new pack pro-koolin they also just lick up, but too much mess, though I have both just in case) Great tablets, definitely recommended. This review was written for the original version of the tablets that came in a white with green pack. I no longer can recommend the product since they have changed it. Also, the price gone up to by almost 50% of the original price. I think I will be looking for alternatives.
