Disgusted, I tell you.
I'm not disgusted with the product of course, which is great.I'm just pissed by the amount of reviewers flaunting their ability to grow a beard just for fun. Instead of through sheer necessity, like me.I'm a fat bastard you see.And here I am, forced to grow facial hair entirely for the purpose of deception.Sure, if you were to look at my beard in passing, the strong outline of one chin may seem visible. But just look a little closer, and you'll see an iceberg of deceit, as chins ripple into infinity.Sad.There was only one way to combat this crippling blight on my physicality... to grow a beard big enough to disguise my multi-chinned reality.(or get less fat I suppose)Because of this tragic state of affairs, I've searched long and hard for the right wax, one that holds my beard/chin outline firm. I've tried a few, let me tell you. Most of them are no good, usually the natural ones are the worst for hold. While nobody really loves synthetic waxes, they tend to work. Which is why this one, made from beeswax and all natural, is such a find.To keep my beard outline rigid, the wax needs to hold stiff and firm, while still remaining flexible enough to reshape when needed.Frankly, I need a wax to ride my beard hard, so as to girdle my chins into one compact location. If this doesn't make sense to you, then maybe you're not fat.Well done you. However, when you do have a herd of chins threatening to break through their face-cage (perhaps from a partner's affectionate stroke, or from a co worker's random request of "can I have a go on your beard"), it's important the wax is strong enough to keep all chins corralled and confined, into one pointy '300' style chin shape. This product does it for me!You don't really need to use much. Simply warm it it up by rubbing it between your hands for 5-10 seconds. This gets it nice and pliable, it'll then spread evenly over your face without getting clumpy. It'll hold for ages.Overall the best I've found.

Bearded Goon Ridiculously Strong Beard and Moustache Wax is my first beard wax. While I do not have any other beard wax to compare it to, this product is admittedly hard not to recommend.Easy to remove from the tin, the wax, once warmed up, is equally effortless to apply and evenly distribute throughout the beard, without leaving any residue on the hairs. The wax's light to almost undetectable scent is much appreciated. Only a ridiculously small amount of product is required to tame the unruly hairs of my beard. If used in excess, however, you should expect dryness and brittleness. I would recommend either applying beard oil prior to using the wax or after removing it. In regards to my moustache, on the other hand, the thinner ends proved difficult to style as I wanted. While the wax adds weight my beard, it never felt like being overly coated with product. Another plus is that the wax is relatively easy to wash out of the beard. All in all, Bearded Goon Ridiculously Strong Beard and Moustache Wax is great value for money and possibly, my go-to beard wax in the future.NOTE: It is worth mentioning that Best Health Shop, at the time of purchase, offered an additional tin of The Bearded Goon's RSB&MW, free of charge, in return for an honest review.

Great product
I've spent a while growing a long beard which is a little unmanageable of a morning ... by unmanageable I mean a nightmare. I've tried a few different waxes and they were ok but didn't provide the required hold and would mean continuous applications were required.I seen the name of this wax and for obvious reasons it caught my eye as something I was looking for. So I purchased a tin, the delivery was swift except the package split and I was delivered an invoice only. I contacted the seller who responded the same day apologising and issued a replacement which again arrived swiftly (thanks Abigail) so firstly great customer service from the supplier. Now for the wax, the tin is smaller than I expected compared to some other waxes I've tried. However, on trying the wax it only required a small amount to get the required hold so will last me for a while. The wax is thick and needs to be scrapped out with back of hand and heated up before applying. The smell is pretty neutral and doesnt leave any noticeable residue. All in all this is the best wax I've tried to date and will definitely be ordering the item again.

Style my beard
I'm new to the world of beardliness but have a particular look that I want to aim for which requires strong hold and precision shaping. The aim to begin with is to tame any unruly hairs and begin to work on my own style as my facial hair gets longer.I was looking for something strong and there didn't seem to be much on the market.I really love the smell of this product, kind of grassy with sort of pine like undertones. It's quite understated but addictive. My other half likes it too which is always a good start. It's very handy that there are detailed instructions are on a separate sheet (obviously as a bloke I completely disregarded these initially) and they were useful when I couldn't get the wax going to start with.I'm very happy with the wax. It's not too greasy. The hold is good and you don't need much to get control of those hairs with a mind of their own. It's exactly the product I've been looking for and I will definitely be a repeat customer. Great stuff

Not strong at all! but certainly not bad.
This Beard wax is. . ok .. realistically i find its the furthest thing from "ridiculously strong" , its not even a little strong. .this is the beard wax that gets a wedgie and its lunch money taken . .(maybe thats a little harsh) . .It is not going to hold a stiff handlebar or anything more daring, but, it will do a decent job of just keeping your beard generally neat and tame. without making it feel real hard or crunchy like a real stiff wax would. smells alright too. so i still keep it handy for a real bad beard day when beard oil just isn't enough. So, if your looking for something "REDICULOUSLY STRONG" this is most certainly not for you. .But, if you want something just to tidy up your beard for the evening i think this will work out for you alright.

A great find, genuinely brilliant product.
I really enjoy the experience of using this. As others have mentioned there is a distinctive, but not overpowering or unpleasant scent when applying the wax. The scent quickly fades. The wax doesn't need to be warmed though it aids application if warmed briefly using your body heat, in a pocket for example. The instructions provided are clear and helpful. Following the instructions on my rather long beard, I applied a little at a time taking care to spread the product evenly and concentrate on the areas where most hold was required. I feel confident that this will hold my facial hair in the style I like for the whole day. There is no irritation and it does feel as though it even helps to condition my beard a little as well as protect it from the elements. It cleans out easily with a little shampoo and warm water. I highly recommend this beard wax for all styles and lengths of beards and moustaches, and any hair type. This is a great find and I will be ordering more!

Pleasing beard wax
In short i'm very pleased. When i placed the order i didn't realise it was coming from the states, so the delivery time was a bit disappointing, but seeing as it's crossing half the known world that's really my fault for not paying attention. Plus it arrived two days earlier than predicted.Anyway the product itself is great. I'm glad it had instructions as although i've had a beard for about ten years, this is the first time i've grown it out, and wasn't sure how much wax I'd need.Anyway, my beard is definitely now much more controlled and aesthetically pleasing. The scent of the wax is nice. Good work with the coconut oils and shea butter. It's almost good enough to eat.

The Bearded Goon's Ridiculously Strong Beard and Moustache Wax
I have been using 'The Bearded Goon's Ridiculously Strong Beard and Moustache Wax' for four days now and I love it!It arrived on the first day of the expected delivery date which is amazing considering where its posted from! The product itself is as described by the manufacturer and is easy to use. When the product arrived I opened the wrapping from the tin and placed the tin in my pocket whilst I made a cup of tea (5mins-ish).Having used similar products for a number of years I was expecting to have to blast it with the wife's hair dryer to soften the wax but a few minutes in my pocket did the trick. The wax itself scraped easily on to the back of my thumb nail and once rubbed between my thumb and forefinger took less than the prescribed 15 seconds to turn clear and be ready for use.It applied to my moustache evenly, leaves no clumps and has held my tache in place (Bronson-esk).Having used more expensive products in the past that have given a less than satisfactory result I can safely say that this is now my wax of choice!

Strong and Natural
Very impressed with the all natural ingredients. Seems pretty basic, but most of these products have crap in them, so this is a rare gem.Size is very small for $13 IMO... But, you don't need a lot as they direct. Just a tiny bit at a time, rub between fingers and start to pull the hairs in the direction you want. With that said, my beard is not very long; this is why I just got this wax. Although I use oils and balms to condition the facial hair, I didnt have anything string enough to keep certain areas in place even with my stuff bristle brush. It always looks better, but the wax is definitely a high hold compared to a balm which doesn't do much with shorter facial hair.I'm still deciding on how extravagant of a beard in going for. I'm trying to let the mustache gain more length so I can use the wax to pull it out and away from the lips. This is definitely getting me in the right direction, but I do think my facial hair needs to be longer. If it doesn't end up working out, I'll trim it up around the lips and let the rest go. But the wax is definitely a big help with it's high hold - I could see how those with white a bit of long facial hair could start to use this for true "shaping up."It's not too hard to use, but definitely need some time to apply it. Love the pick they include in the container to help you grab the wax, cause it's quite solid. You just need a tiny bit and then you heat it up between pointer and thumb fingers. Work it in little by little... I actually use a brush after that to try and massage it further into the facial hair, and it seems to help.

Wayyy sticky dude
This stuff is pretty good. It’s sticky like tree sap I wish it last all day but I apply it to my “stach “ like every two hours smells like I cut down a 100 trees and got that sticky tree juice in my mustache

Dislike the new formula
Since November 2025 I have been using an old tin of Bearded Goon I bought back in 2018 that had been sitting in a drawer. I only used it a little after first acquiring it and then I gave up on shaping my 'stache. Last November, though, I started growing a handlebar and Bearded Goon was what I used, and I liked it a lot. It smelled nice, it wasn't too sticky, it washed out easily, and it had pretty good hold. I was quite happy with it.I just got a fresh tin after finally nearing the end of that old tin. I don't like it... The ingredients have changed and with them the smell and feel. It smells very resinous now. It has a darker color. It's very stick, so I end up pulling out mustache hairs as I try to apply the wax, and it's more difficult to manage because my mustache hairs stick to my fingers as much as they stick to each other. The hold seems no better with the new formula, so overall it's a major downgrade compared to the old formula. Now it's a lot more like Sudden Death brand wax, which I also dislike for similar reasons. I miss the old formula. I will be searching for something more like it from another brand. In the photos, the new tin is on the left, the old one on the right.

Changed Ingredients
This has been my go to beard wax for years. It worked perfectly to keep my beard looking sharp. However, as a previous reviewer has stated, they changed the formulation last year. Now, it’s really gooey and sticky. I am not a fan. They ruined a good thing.

Product arrived as a solid cake of wax and impossible to use.
When I attempted to use the product on my beard the morning after I received it, and was pressed for time me, I found that the wax was totally solid and impossible to use. It took a concerted effort to actually melt it using heat and flame! I don’t know if this is an anomaly or if this is the way that it’s designed, but I would not have ordered it had I known.I contacted the company from its website, but have not heard back yet.
