A: I'm not sure what I bought now but I think it was the medium and its 9 1/2 inches long, and it's perfect for a hair brush, hope this helps.

A: Yes, it will be fine for a general brush, or you may wish to consider the larger size, model D82L. If the hair is particularly thick, the D81M and D81L models have a nylon pin set in the centre of each tuft which gives better penetration for thick hair, although can also give rise to static.
