Yes it does smell of watermelon, fruity aswell. I’ll alwayd say go for this one as it’s cheap and does a good job.

Yes I find it washes out very easily with water and never leaves my hair looking greasy

It probably depends on how heavy the rain is (and how cold) as the product can be refreshed by running damp hands through your hair the next morning after styling initially. If you were able to dry off your hair at your destination the product would still be in your hair to restyle it. You really don`t need much of it at a time to style your hair
