Cat litter can carry a parasite known as Toxoplasma Gondii, this parasite is very hardy and can survive some wastewater treatment processes (it is rare but it can happen) meaning that it could eventually infect someone with toxoplasmosis. Please do not flush it! **Q: Hi all, just started using this and not sure what to do with the wet litter once the cat has peed. Do I remove that immediately or leave it to dry?** A: Just leave it to absorb the pee. But check it regularly if still ok. If its smelly the cat dont like it and she or he will find some place to wee, like on your bed or in the carpet thats what we experience. Hope this will help **Q: Is this a clumping cat litter?** A: No, we have not found so... Overall, the cat litter works well. **Q: How do I dispose of this litter? Does it go into the garden/food waste bin?** A: I've been using Pampuss wood pulp cat litter (up until now - I'm looking at this type, now) and I've been tipping the full, used contents into my private compost bin. I don't know how healthy this is. I remember reading, some time ago, that the waste of polar bears AND domestic cats is toxic and that cat 'manure' is not good for plants. However, it really quickly deals with the issue of what to do with the wet lumpy stinky stuff. Also, it seems to break down remarkably quickly in the compost bin (also put veg peelings and garden waste in it). The whole lot of it quickly homogenises into soil. I suppose this paper litter would not be dissimilar. Maybe, not as good as the wood pulp but it'll be better than if it goes into landfill. ## Frequently Bought Together - Breeder Celect All-Natural Cat Litter (30L) – 99% Recycled Paper, Highly Absorbent Kitten Cat Litter/Bedding, Excellent Odour Control, Non-Clumping, Biodegradable & Compostable - WHISKAS - 1+ Adult Wet Cat Food Pouches - 40 x 85 g - Poultry Selection - Bulk Cat Food Megapack - 40 Jelly Pouches - Bio-Catolet Light & Hygienic Recycled Paper Granules Cat Litter 12 Litre --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/47971155-breeders-choice-paper-cat-litter-30l-99-recycled-paper](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/47971155-breeders-choice-paper-cat-litter-30l-99-recycled-paper) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
