Good flag

Wanted something more traditional and more of a statement than the St George Cross. Back round more maroon than red but I like it, It makes the 3 Lions more striking. Seems well made but will take down in bad weather to make it last. Looks great flying proudly in my coastal front garden.

excellent banner, this is the true England flag ( see Royal Flag ) this is William Duke of Normandy's flag to which when he became King of England he added the third lion to signify "The Flag of England". The banner of white with the red cross is that of a Roman Soldier who was deified for some reason, I never understood how it could possibly be the flag of England, he is the patron saint of lots of country's. You will note that most English team's use the 3 Lions, I will excuse the Navy as they do use the Union flag in the corner.

Durable colours, hanging eyes, the lions are not the best pictures but heraldry has its own ideas. A nice way to celebrate national events and festivals and also harkens back to the Age of Chivalry When hung vertically it makes a reasonable flyscreen when the weather is hot and you may wish to leave a door open.

For some reason flags are a big hit in my house of 2 girls (9&7), we made a flagpole In the garden and cycle through different types according to the news, sporting events and the like. It’s been a great way for them to learn about lots of things in the world 🌎 The photo shows this next to a smaller England flag. Quality of the 3 lions is great. Sturdy build with double stictcging and metal eyelets. Another photo to follow when the banner flies!

Colors fade too quickly and the flag already has fraud edges
