Lovely mugs, slightly smaller than expected but great gift

These mugs are a gift for avid readers, like me. Some people don’t snack or drink whilst reading but I like to have a nibble and my favorite choice of drink is a nice cup of tea or coffee, depending on the time of day. I have a few favorite mugs, either for their nice design or their practicality and this MRS. mug ticks both of these boxes for me. It really has the perfect size for drinks - not too big and not too small - and the bottom of the mug is made out of dense corkboard which really helps to keep the liquid warm. I can’t tell you how very important it is when you’re totally invested in a novel. It’s something that other mugs don’t have except insulated ones but if you want a real authentic mug this one's perfect to have the most cosy experience. Another thing I really like about these mugs is the handle, it fits really well into my hand. The top of the handle is not so close to the mug itself so you can comfortably rest your thumb in the space in between and hold it like that, something I often do as well out of a habit, and also, you never have to squeeze your fingers into the opening, as the bottom is left open. I don’t have big hands but it’s still a lot more pleasant to have so much more extra room for my fingers. Finally I love it that there’s a matching mug for him too.. we can both be reading or sitting at the breakfast table and they simply look so great together. I don’t like it if someone drinks out of my favorite mug so it’s perfect that there’s two and each one can have their own (almost identical) mug. The only thing that wasn’t very clear was how you should wash this one up. I just hand-washed it and it’s no problem, the cork dries really quickly after it comes in contact with water. I'm honestly very pleased with these and can highly recommend!
